Zusammenfassung
The present invention relates to a spray dryer device (200) with a vessel (202). A spray nozzle (208) is arranged in the vessel (202) for forming a stream of liquid droplets (141) from a liquid material (140). Heated gas is supplied to the vessel (202) to, from the stream of liquid droplets (141), form a particulate material (150) by drying the liquid droplets (141). The device (200) includes a temperature sensor arrangement (120) with spatially distributed temperature sensing elements (122) that sense a spatial temperature distribution at an exterior wall (204) of the vessel (202). A processing device (130) acquires a time series of these temperature distributions and analyzes the time series to determine if fouling (152) of the particulate material (150) has occurred at an inside of the exterior wall (204). If fouling has occurred, the processing device (130) generates a signal indicating a fouling condition within the vessel (202). A method (300) of monitoring a spray dryer device (200) is also disclosed. |
