The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method of handling an emergency incident reported to a Public Safety Answering Point PSAP (4) the method comprising the steps of receiving, at the PSAP (4), information on an emergency incident, the information comprising at least one image (1) of the emergency incident, the emergency incident being a primary hazardous situation; applying a Convolutional Neural Network, CNN, object recognition and classification process for identifying and marking objects (2) on the at least one image that are related to the emergency incident and that may cause at least one secondary hazardous situation; processing the data relating to the identified and marked objects (2) by applying a deep learning algorithm to the data in a Relational Network, RN architecture, in particular, a Long-Short-Term-Memory, SLTM, architecture, wherein the image (1),on the basis of the identified and marked objects (2), is correlated to a set of recognized objects in a database that are essential for classifying the emergency. Further, the present invention relates to a communication network (4) according to claim 8, wherein the emergency processing unit (8) adapted for handling emergency incidents, the communication network comprising an ESInet via which information on emergency incidents are transmitted to a PSAP (7), wherein the communication network (4) further comprises an emergency processing unit (8) adapted to carry out the computer-implemented method of handling an emergency incident. Further, the present invention relates to an emergency processing unit (8) comprising a deep learning unit (3) adapted to carry out the method of handling an emergency incident. |

With the present invention, the resource utilization of a PSAP center can significantly be improved, and at the same time, the response time of all calls that reach the PSAP center is reduced. This is achieved by providing a mechanism that allows clustering of calls, and an advanced handling of a majority of them. A personalized message is used to communicate an ongoing major incident to callers to pre-handle a burst of calls. Therefore, the call agent only has to take calls that have not already been successfully handled by the personalized messages. |

The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method of processing an emergency incident reported to a Public Safety Answering Point PSAP (3) by a user of a mobile communication device, the method comprising the steps of: receiving, by a call taker (6) at the PSAP (3), an emergency call initiated by a mobile telecommunication device reporting an emergency incident; determining the geolocation of the mobile communication device; triggering an SMS-CB, wherein SMS messages are sent to mobile communication devices (5) located within a predetermined area around the determined geolocation, receiving a plurality CB-SMS response messages from the mobile communication devices (5), the response messages comprising objects related to the emergency incident; extracting the objects from the respective response messages; performing an object comparison on the extracted objects for determining a similarity of the objects with respect to each other; and verifying if similar objects have been received from co-located mobile communication devices (5). Further, the present invention relates to an emergency communication network, comprising an ESRP (2) connected to a PSAP (3), wherein the ESRP (2) is adapted for carrying out the method of processing an emergency incident. |
