The invention relates to a drug delivery system comprising a drug delivery device (1) for dispensing a liquid drug through a needle. The delivery device (1) comprises a delivery device housing (2), a dose or dispensing member (3) movable relative to the device housing during dose setting or dose dispensing and a first conductive member (21) coupled to the dose or dispensing member (3). The delivery system further comprises an add-on module (30) for monitoring a drug delivery process with the drug delivery device (1). The add-on module (30) comprises a module housing (39) releasably attachable to the delivery device housing (2) and a first capacitive sensor (31) configured to sense a rotation of the first conductive member (21) relative to the device housing (2) based on a capacitive coupling between the first capacitive sensor (31) and the first conductive member (21).

The present invention pertains to a cassette unit for a reusable or semi-disposable injection device comprising a reusable drive unit and a disposable cassette unit. The cassette unit is adapted to receive a medicament container and comprises indicators that indicate, in cooperation with a moveable part of the medicament container, if the cassette is in a used state or not.

The present invention is concerned with a subassembly for an injection device adapted to hold or carry a medicament cartridge in a way that minimizes or eliminates breakage or cracking of said cartridge. The subassembly comprises at least two elastic walls and a recess in the housing that allows a braking motion of the cartridge. Advantages include a compact form factor and a minimum of complexity and materials required.

A crimp for fastening a septum to a glass barrel of a cartridge containing a sterile liquid medicament for use in an injection or infusion device, where the septum is sterile and covered by a first continuous flexible strip, and where a fluid path unit comprises a cartridge holder and a fluid path containment comprising a needle in an interior. The needle is configured to penetrate the septum of the cartridge through a passage in the fluid path containment. The passage is closed by a second continuous flexible strip keeping the interior of the fluid path containment in a sterile condition. The cartridge is inserted into the cartridge holder aligning the septum with the passage and sandwiching both strips between the septum and the fluid path containment. The both strips are simultaneously removable from the cartridge and fluid path containment thereby establishing a sterile connection between the septum and the interior of the fluid path containment.

Disclosed is a dose button assembly (1, 3) for an injection device (8) that enables reliable transmission of the injection force to a dosing member (2, 4) of the device and comprises an overload protection mechanism. It comprises a button clutch element (3) and a button housing (1), is releasably engageable with a first part (2) of a dosing member of the injection device (8) and is rotatably mounted on a second part (4) of the dosing member of the injection device (8).
