The present invention provides a hydrogenated nitrile rubber that has excellent dispersibility and stability in a conductive material dispersion when manufacturing electrodes for electrochemical elements, excellent peel strength in the electrode and excellent crack suppression of the active material in the electrode after cycle testing, and excellent output characteristics of the electrochemical element. The hydrogenated nitrile rubber of the present invention contains a nitrile group-containing monomer unit and a conjugated diene monomer unit and/or an alkylene structural unit, has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) in the range of 1,000 to 1,000,000 and an iodine value of 100 mg/100 mg or less, contains a phenol-based antiaging agent, has a calcium (Ca) content of 1 to 2500 ppm, a ruthenium (Ru) content of 0.5 to 50 ppm, a palladium (Pd) content of 200 ppm or less, a magnesium (Mg) content of 50 ppm or less, and a sodium (Na) content of 300 ppm or less. |

The present invention provides a binder for positive electrodes that has excellent viscosity characteristics (dispersibility) and stability of the conductive material dispersion when manufacturing electrodes for electrochemical elements, and can improve the peel strength of the electrodes manufactured, and the output characteristics, the cycle characteristics, and the effect of suppressing cracking of the electrode active material after cycle testing of the electrochemical element. The binder for positive electrodes according to the present invention is made by dissolving or dispersing in N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) hydrogenated nitrile rubber, which contains a nitrile group-containing monomer unit, a conjugated diene monomer unit and/or an alkylene structural unit, has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 1,000 to 1,000,000 and an iodine value of 0.1 to 100 mg/100 mg, contains a phenol-based antiaging agent, and has a palladium (Pd) content of 50 ppm or less and a calcium (Ca) content of 1 to 2000 ppm. |

Provided is a dispersant composition for an electrochemical device with which it is possible to form an electrode for an electrochemical device that can reduce IV resistance of an electrochemical device. The dispersant composition for an electrochemical device contains a polymer A that includes a nitrile group-containing monomer unit and an alkylene structural unit having a carbon number of 4 or more. When the weight-average molecular weight of the polymer A is taken to be M<sub>A</sub> and the viscosity measured at a temperature of 25°C for a polymer solution obtained by adding N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone to the polymer A such that the concentration of the polymer A is 10 mass% is taken to be η<sub>A</sub> (mPa·s), a value F<sub>A</sub> calculated by F<sub>A</sub> = (η<sub>A</sub>/M<sub>A</sub>) × 1,000 is not less than 0.1 and not more than 9.0. When the transverse relaxation time measured at a temperature of 25°C for N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone is taken to be T2<sub>S</sub> (ms) and the transverse relaxation time measured at a temperature of 25°C for a polymer solution obtained by adding N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone to the polymer A such that the concentration of the polymer A is 1 mass% is taken to be T2c (ms), a T2 ratio calculated by T2 ratio = T2<sub>S</sub>/T2<sub>C</sub> is not less than 1.1 and not more than 1.8. |

An electrode for a non-aqueous secondary battery, comprising a current collector layer, an electroconductive adhesion layer, and an electrode mixture layer in this order, wherein:the electrode mixture layer contains an electrode active material and a binder;the electroconductive adhesion layer includes a first adhesion layer that is disposed on the current collector layer and a second adhesion layer that is disposed so as to partially cover the first adhesion layer and is in contact with the electrode mixture layer;the first adhesion layer contains electroconductive particles and a binder; andthe second adhesion layer contains electroconductive particles and a binder and has a containing ratio of the electroconductive particles lower than that in the first adhesion layer or the second adhesion layer contains a binder and no electroconductive particles. A method for manufacturing the electrode for a non-aqueous secondary battery and a non-aqueous secondary battery are also provided. |

The binder composition for a non-aqueous secondary battery electrode contains a particulate polymer and water. The particulate polymer includes a polymer that includes an aromatic vinyl monomer unit and a conjugated diene monomer unit. A binder film formed using the binder composition for a non-aqueous secondary battery electrode has a maximum pressing load of 100 nN or more and an elastic recovery of not less than 120 nm and not more than 200 nm when subjected to a nanoindentation test in which a surface of the binder film is pressed to a depth of 300 nm by an indenter. |
