The present concerns a method for obtaining stress-strain material parameters of a solid piece, comprising the steps of: (I) optically and/or tactilely obtaining a generated indentation topography of a local indent generated into the solid piece and extracting indent material parameter values of a first set of stress-strain material parameters of the solid piece from the generated indentation topography, (II) obtaining a vibrational response to an elastic impact on the solid piece, and (III) extracting a validity restriction to at least one of the first set of stress-strain material parameters of the solid piece from the vibrational response.

The present invention concerns an authentication method for authenticating a low-computational (LC) device to a client via a device-client connection channel, comprising the steps of: a) generating a private/public (PP) key pair, preferably on a high-computational device; b) storing said private/public key pair in the low-computational device; c) generating a first hashcode from the public key of the PP key pair according to a predefined hashing algorithm; d) connecting the LC device via a device-client channel to a client device; e) transmitting the public key of the PP kay pair from the LC device to the client device via the device-client channel; f) generating a second hashcode from the transmitted public key at a client side of the device-client channel using said predefined hashing algorithm, and g) comparing the second hashcode to the first hashcode, thereby allowing authentication of the LC device to the client device.

An exhaust aftertreatment device includes a mixing arrangement including a divider baffle arrangement and a restrictor arrangement. The divider baffle arrangement defines a first flow path that passes through turbulence generating members (e.g., louvers, perforations, etc.). The divider baffle also defines a second flow path that bypasses the turbulence generating members to mitigate back pressure. The first and second flow paths can be offset from center planes of the device to assist in generating turbulence. The turbulence generating members are on a dosing conduit directing reactant flow to the first aperture.

The invention relates to a device and method. The device comprises a housing (2) delimited by a top element (4), and laterally by two opposite upward directed side elements (5). A supporting element (8) is applied in the housing for supporting the packaging material. The supporting element is moveable in an upward direction towards or away from the top element and is lockable. The supporting element is provided with two supporting openings (11). The dimensions and position of the supporting openings are adapted such that when in use the fork (15) of a fork-lift truck (14) can be fittingly inserted into the supporting openings and the inserted fork can move the supporting element in an upward direction by moving the fork.

The invention pertains to a process for recovering materials from a stream comprising black mass solids obtained from lithium-ion batteries, the process comprising:i) providing a stream comprising the black mass solids, lithium, cobalt, aluminum, manganese, nickel, iron, copper;ii) leaching the stream with an acid to form a pregnant leach solution and residual solids;iii) separating the pregnant leach solution from the residual solids;iv) isolating a copper product from the pregnant leach solution;v) isolating an aluminum (Al) and/or iron (Fe) product from the pregnant leach solution;vi) isolating a manganese (Mn) product from the pregnant leach solution;vii) isolating a cobalt (Co) product from the pregnant leach solution;viii) isolating a nickel (Ni) product from the pregnant leach solution;ix) isolating a salt by-product from the pregnant leach solution; andx) isolating a lithium product from the pregnant leach solution.

A filter cartridge includes a threaded sleeve having a seal holder recess and seal member. The filter cartridge is for removably threading onto a filter head that includes threads for connection to the filter cartridge by way of the threaded sleeve. Eyewear having a frame, a hinge, and a hyperextendable temple having a flexible printed circuit (FPC) including service loops. An extender is coupled to the hinge and the temple, and the extender extends with respect to the hinge allowing hyperextension of the temple with respect to the frame. A first service loop allows extension of the FPC when the temple rotates about the hinge, and a second service loop allows the temple to be radially extended away from the hinge.
