The present invention relates to cryogenic energy storage systems for storing using high-grade heat-of-compression. The system includes a liquefaction sub-system (100) and thermal energy storage device (TESD) (300). The liquefaction sub-system (100) includes a first compressor (102), a first and second heat exchanger (104, 117) and second compressor (114). The first and second heat exchangers (104, 117) are configured to transfer the high-grade heat of compression from the first and second compressors (102, 114) respectively to the TESD (300) via a closed circuit using a heat transfer fluid (HTF). A third compressor (124) compresses the HTF and at least a portion of the high-grade heat of compression from the third compressor (124) is transferred to the TESD (300). Further systems including power recovery sub-systems (400) use compressors (124) and expanders (122). The present disclosure also relates to methods of heat-of-compression storage in cryogenic energy storage systems. |

There is provided a method of producing a photovoltaic device comprising a photoactive region comprising a layer of perovskite material, wherein the layer of perovskite material is disposed on a surface that has a roughness average (R<a>) or root mean square roughness (R<rms>) of greater than or equal to 50 nm. The method comprises using vapour deposition to deposit a substantially continuous and conformal solid layer comprising one or more initial precursor compounds of the perovskite material, and subsequently treating the solid layer with one or more further precursor compounds to form a substantially continuous and conformal solid layer of the perovskite material on the rough surface. There is also provided a photovoltaic device comprising a photoactive region comprising a layer of perovskite material disposed using the method. |

Zusammenfassung
A weight scale for a gas cylinder with an impact resistance system has a rotatable top housing and a bottom housing, which is located opposite the lower surface of the top housing. The top housing has a top protruding portion that protrudes toward the bottom housing and a caster bearing that is rotatably mounted on the lower surface of the top housing. The bottom housing has a caster ramp provided on the upper surface thereof such that the caster bearing can roll down the caster ramp when the top housing is pushed down and rotates with respect the bottom housing. A weight sensor is placed on the upper surface of the bottom housing adjacent the ramp. The weight sensor is configured to measure the weight of the gas cylinder when the caster bearing rolls off the caster ramp and onto the weight sensor. |
