Abstract

Embodiments relate to a concept for identifying a mobile terminal (102) in a mobile communication system (100), the mobile communication system (100) comprising a set (110) of a plurality of transmission points (110-1; 110-2; 110;3) for communicating with the mobile terminal (102) in an addressing area (120) covered by the set (110) of transmission points. An identifier (ID 1 ) is assigned to the mobile terminal (102) for addressing the mobile terminal residing in the addressing area (120) from any of the transmission points (110-1; 110-2; 110-3) comprised by the set (110) of transmission points.
