Abstract
A circuit arrangement for protection against an undue overheating of a charging and/or discharging control (3) and/or a secondary battery (2) is disclosed, the circuit arrangement (1) comprising the secondary battery (2), the charging and/or discharging control (3) for charging and/or discharging the secondary battery (2), a connector (4) for connecting the charging and discharging control (3) to an external power supply (5), at least one current limiting electronic component (7) arranged in electrical connection to the charging and/or discharging control (3) and optionally, a switchable load. It is provided that said charging and/or discharging control (3) is a dc-dc-converter, said current limiting electronic component (7) is disposed in the connection between the connector (4) for connecting the charging and/or discharging control (3) to the external power supply (5) and the charging and/or discharging control (3), and said current limiting electronic component (6, 7) is a Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient component.
