Abstract
The present invention relates to an assembly (300) for a hand brake valve of a vehicle. The assembly comprises an actuating rod (100) that is configured to assist in shifting brake positions of the hand brake valve, wherein the actuating rod (100) includes two opposing substantially flat surfaces (106). The assembly also includes a plastic ring (110) comprising two arms (118). In accordance with an embodiment, each of the two opposing substantially flat surfaces (106) of the actuating rod (100) includes at least two dents (D) and at least a portion (112) of each of the two arms (118) of the plastic ring (110) is received within the respective dent (D).
