Abstract

A safety control system with real-time diagnostic monitoring of a plurality of actuators (216, 218), each adapted to mitigate one or more safety events when actuated, comprises a D&A module (300) adapted to be in electric communication with an actuator circuit (240) comprising at least one actuator (216, 218) via an actuation circuit (230), the D&A module (300) having a resistance analyzer (238) adapted to measure an electrical resistance of the actuator circuit (240) connected to the actuation circuit (230), wherein the safety control system being adapted to determine whether the measured electrical resistance of the actuator circuit (240) aligns and/or falls within a predetermined range or predetermined threshold to determine a status of the actuator circuit (240), and wherein an interface (234) of the control system being adapted to display indicators (318, 418, 518, 618) relating to the status of the actuator circuit (240).
