Abstract
The present invention provides a scratch protection guard 100, comprises a top section 101 having a pre-formed portion 101a configured to remain visible on a top surface of a shelf 200 after installation, wherein the pre-formed portion 101a is shaped as a frustum to provide a sliding surface to a sliding component 300. Further, a middle section 102 is provided which includes a cylindrical portion 102a configured to pass through a slot 204 of the shelf 200, wherein the cylindrical portion 102a has a height substantially equal to a thickness of the shelf 200. Further, a bottom section 103 is provided with a deformable portion 103a shaped as an inverted frustum, wherein the deformable portion 103a is configured to deform during insertion into the slot 204 of the shelf 200 and return to its original shape after insertion to secure the scratch protection guard on the shelf 200.
