Abstract
A system for dynamically adjusting data collection within a physical computing environment is disclosed. The system includes computing devices receiving a first set of data from a plurality of devices, where at least a portion of the first set of data is collected by one or more devices according to a first data collection definition, where the first set of data provides information related to a monitored condition of the physical computing environment; determine, based on the first set of data, a second data collection definition, the second data collection definition defining data collection settings that enable collection of a second set of data that provides the information, where the second set of data is smaller in volume compared to the first set of data; and instructing the one or more devices to collect data according to the second data collection definition.
