Abstract
This application relates to a communication method and device. The communication method includes: determining, by a terminal device, whether the terminal device supports sending and/or receiving of a signal other than a first reference signal in a measurement process; and receiving, by the terminal device, only the first reference signal within a first time domain range when the terminal device does not support sending and/or receiving of the signal other than the first reference signal in the measurement process, where the first time domain range includes a first time domain symbol and a second time domain symbol, the first time domain symbol is a time domain symbol configured by a network device, and the second time domain symbol includes N time domain symbols before the first time domain symbol and/or N time domain symbols after the first time domain symbol. Both the terminal device and the network device can determine a scheduling limitation generated when the terminal device performs measurement, so that the terminal device may neither receive the signal other than the first reference signal nor send any signal on a time domain symbol having the scheduling limitation, to reduce interference, caused by measurement, to sending and/or receiving of another signal.
