Abstract

Provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure are a method for detecting short circuit of a discharger in a parallel UPS system and a parallel UPS system. The method includes: controlling a charging switch of a battery charger in a target UPS submodule to be closed in a case where the parallel UPS system operates under a condition of mains input without any battery, where the target UPS submodule is any UPS submodule from the at least two UPS submodules; and detecting, for each of the UPS submodules, a current on a common battery input side of the UPS submodule, and determining whether a discharger in the UPS submodule is short-circuited based on the current on the common battery input side of the UPS submodule.
