Abstract
Thermoplastic compositions include (a) from about 20 wt% to about 90 wt% of a polyamide resin; and (b) from about 30 wt% to about 55 wt% of a ceramic filler. The composition has a pencil hardness of "B" or harder as evaluated according to ASTM D3363 using a force of 1 kilogram-force (kgf). The combined weight percent value of all components does not exceed 100 wt%, and all weight percent values are based on the total weight of the composition. In certain aspects the ceramic filler includes aluminum oxide, aluminosilicate, or a combination thereof.
