Abstract
Thermoplastic compositions include: (a) from about 10 wt% to about 85 wt% of a polycarbonate component; (b) from about 2 wt% to about 70 wt% of at least one polycarbonate-siloxane copolymer having a siloxane content of from about 5 wt% to about 45 wt%; (c) from about 2 wt% to about 15 wt% of a phosphazene flame retardant; and (d) from about 10 wt% to about 50 wt% of an inorganic filler comprising glass fiber, carbon fiber, or a combination thereof. The composition is free of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS-free), and has a total siloxane content of at least 1.0 wt%. 40 sample bars prepared according to UL94 having a thickness of from 0.6 millimeter (mm) to 1.0 mm exhibit 1 drip or less after two flame applications according to UL94.
