Abstract
The present application relates to a process for the preparation of pyroxasulfone comprising reacting 3-[(5-difluoromethoxy-1-methyl-3-trifluoromethylpyrazol-4-yl)methylthio]-4,5-dihydro-5,5-dimethylisoxazole with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a metal catalyst, a surfactant selected from the group of non-ionic surfactants, anionic surfactants or mixtures thereof, and water.
