Abstract

A segment (10) for a segmented circular brake disc defining an axis of rotation (x) comprises at least one first end coupling portion (12) having an end face (14) which extends into the segment (10) in a radial direction, and comprises at least one cavity (16) arranged to receive coupling means, and a braking band extending into the segment (10) in circumferential directions. The braking band has, in at least one point, a dimension in axial direction (da1) which is smaller than a dimension in axial direction (da2) of the at least one first end coupling portion (12) at the end face (14) and at a maximum dimension in axial direction of the at least one cavity (16).
