Abstract
A conversion system and method therefor are provided, the system including: battery management systems (BMSs), each utilizing a communication protocol, such as e.g., Modbus (RTU/TCP), CAN Bus, SMBus, BLE; a control unit utilizing a communication protocol different from that utilized by at least one of the BMSs, and a smart hardware adaptor operatively connected between the BMSs and the control unit. The adaptor stores a mapping table mapping data between each of the protocols of the BMSs and the protocol of the control unit, and is configured to receive signal(s) from the BMSs and reformat the signal(s) to the protocol of the control unit and to receive signal(s) from the control unit and reformat the signal(s) to a protocol of a corresponding one of the BMSs, according to the mapping table.
