A method for correcting inhomogeneity of the static magnetic field generated by a magnetic structure, particularly of the static magnetic field generated by the magnetic structure of an MRI system comprising the steps of generating a statistical model of a shimmed magnet structure of the same kind of a target magnet structure to be shimmed, the said statistical model is generated as a function of historical data which describing the features of shimming processes carried out on identical magnets.The statistical model is used to guide in an objective way choices which the persons carrying out a shimming process are faced with between at least two alternative solutions of a minimization algorithm between the magnetic field having a target homogeneity and e magnetic field of the non-shimmed magnet structure combined with the magnetic field generated by a set of magnetic correction elements.Also a system is disclosed for carrying out the method. |

A method for reducing lag artifacts in digital radiographs is provided in combination with an X-ray source, an X-ray detector, and a positioning station for a target to be imaged, said station being interposed in the opening cone of the radiation emitted by said source between said source and said detector, and said method comprising the combination of the following steps:a) acquiring a sequence of frames of radiographic images of a target, each of said images being acquired by means of imaging exposures of said target performed at different consecutive time instants and at a predetermined time interval between said time instants;b) said images of said sequence reproducing zones or areas of said target that overlap at least partially with each other with reference to two consecutive images of said sequence of images;c) registering the images of said sequence of images based on the image data of said overlapping zones;d) combining by merging said registered images, generating a single image comprising the reproduction of the zones of the target acquired from said images of the sequence of images. |

The invention relates to a device for reading an RFID tag located inside a core around which a winding drum of material is wound. The device comprises an RFID reader coupled to an antenna suitable for transmitting/receiving a radio frequency signal to/from the tag, and a support for the winding drum equipped with at least one hollow shaft designed to insert into the core of the winding drum so as to form an axial extension of said core. The shaft is electromagnetically coupled with the antenna so that an electromagnetic signal from the antenna reaches the tag, and vice versa, propagating inside the shaft and, consequently, inside the core of the winding drum when the shaft is inserted into said core. |

Method for governing a vessel comprising at least one bow-thruster and/or one stern-thruster respectively in correspondence with the bow area and with the stern area, and two engines steerable independently from each other. The method provides the activation of the bow-thruster and/or of the stern-thruster with a predetermined number of revolutions and a predetermined rotation direction of the propeller, that is, a predetermined direction of the flow generated by said bow-thruster and/or said stern-thruster, and simultaneously the activation of said engines in combination, with a predetermined number of revolutions and a predetermined setting of forward or reverse gear for each of said two engines, while said engines are steered each independently from the other in a steering direction with respect to the longitudinal axis of the vessel and with a predetermined steering angle, one or more or all of the following settings being selected as follows: the steering angles of said two engines being identical and/or different from each other; the gear direction and/or the neutral condition being identical or different from each other; the number of revolutions being identical or different from each other; said settings being applied in combination of only two or of all of said settings with a synchronization function as a function of the movement of the vessel generated by the propulsion vector resulting from the sum of the individual propulsion forces acting on a centre of application of said forces defined for said vessel. |

Governing method of a vessel comprising at least one bow thruster, provided in the area of bow of the vessel and a single steerable engine and/or an engine with fixed axis and with at least one rudder. The method provides a maneuver of transversal translation so-called drift with activation of the bow thruster with a pre-established number of revolutions and a pre-established direction of rotation and simultaneously the activation of said one engine with a pre-established number of revolutions and a pre-established setting of forward gear or reverse gear. The engine and/or the rudder are steered alternately in one direction and in the opposite direction with respect to the longitudinal axis of the vessel with a pre-established steering angle and/or the gear direction, that is the gear direction set on the engine is alternately inverted between forward gear and reverse gear, the duration of each steering position of the engine and/or of the rudder respectively in said first direction and in said second direction and/or of said setting of gear of the engine in forward gear or in reverse gear or the frequency of switching between the two steering directions and/or the two gear directions, being in the order of magnitude of the duration between setting of the steering direction and/or of the gear and corresponding actual displacement of the vessel caused by the thrust of the engine in the corresponding steering direction and/or in the corresponding gear condition and due to the inertia of motion of the vessel. |
