Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems, devices, articles and methods for determining ball location based on player location data. The system includes a local system, a cloud computing system and a remote system. The system collects location data of players during a tracked event, refines and pre-processes the data which is used to train a machine learning model which determines the region of the ball. Embodiments further include methods to determine ball possession. The ball region and possession data can be used to determine the ball location throughout an event and analyze ball possession.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems, devices, articles and methods for calculating sports performance metrics using positional data. The system includes a local and a cloud computing system. A plurality of player sensor tags and wireless data transceivers measure the location of players during a tracked event. The location data are processed either in real-time by a local edge computing device or post processed by a cloud computing device using mathematical and sports-physics models. The processed data are used to determine acceleration and g-force which in turn determine performance metrics that can be used to provide tactical insight.

A system and method of tracking and classifying an athlete's game intelligence during a sporting event are disclosed, which includes identifying and ranking activities within the game, calculating performance differentials between pressure versus no-pressure situations and processing cognitive measurements based on the differentials. The system and method require the use of a sensor system including location and velocity tracking in combination with data processing and a database. The method allows for accurate discovery of an athlete's game IQ as performed in real-time during a live sporting event, as opposed to tested cognitive abilities in controlled or lab settings.

Wind turbine blade comprising a lightning protection system, said lightning protection system comprising a first lightning receptor mounted near the tip of the blade and an electrical conductor electrically connecting the first lightning receptor and the base of the wind turbine blade. The lightning protection system further comprises a second lightning receptor which is integrated into the blade and where the electrical conductor comprises a first portion which is arranged between the second lightning receptor and the base of the blade, and where the first lightning receptor is surface mounted on the surface of the blade and in that the electrical conductor comprises a second portion which is surface mounted on the blade and is arranged between the first lightning receptor and the second lightning receptor. In this way, the first lightning receptor can be an aftermarket receptor which is surface mounted to the blade in a simple and inexpensive manner while the second lightning receptor is a legacy lightning receptor which was integrated with the blade during original manufacturing.
