Described herein are isolator devices designed to reduce cracking and mechanical stress despite the use of wire bonds made of hard materials (e.g., copper-based). The isolators employ thin film dielectric materials with high dielectric strength and permittivity underneath the top coil (electrode) to enhance the isolation of the device. However, these materials are susceptible to cracking. Described herein are designs in which the dielectric material is partially removed from the isolator. A dielectric layer may be kept in the region(s) where its large dielectric permittivity is particularly beneficial (e.g., near the edge of a coil) but may be removed from the region immediately underneath the bonding pad, where a large amount of pressure is applied during the bonding process. Optionally, a cushion layer is employed to absorb some of the energy produced during the bonding process.

A method of manufacturing a vertical inductor, the method comprising: forming a substrate, forming a bottom electrode, forming a dielectric layer, forming a magnetic core, forming insulation layer, forming a conductive loop structure by extending vertical interconnects through the insulation layer from a first side of the magnetic core to a second side of the magnetic core, electrically connecting the vertical interconnects to the bottom electrode on the second side of the magnetic core.

Surround sound systems can dramatically expand the size of a user's sound field. Much surround sound content is mixed in a simplistic way where the front audio is copied to the rear, at a lower volume. It can be difficult for users to appreciate the value proposition of a surround sound system without more compelling spatially complex content. Quantifying surround sound complexity of various content items based on an audio spatial complexity scoring system can address this issue. Algorithms can be implemented to determine an audio spatial complexity score based on audio channels of a content item. Large catalog of content items can be analyzed, and audio spatial complexity scores can be associated with content items. If a user has a surround sound system, content items with a high audio spatial complexity can be retrieved or recommended to the user to demonstrate the surround sound system's value better.

Systems, apparatuses, and methods for multi-application optical sensing are provided. For example, an optical sensing apparatus can include a photodetector array, a first circuitry, and a second circuitry. The photodetector array includes a plurality of photodetectors, wherein a first subset of the plurality of photodetectors are configured as a first region for detecting a first optical signal, and a second subset of the plurality of photodetectors are configured as a second region for detecting a second optical signal. The first circuitry, coupled to the first region, is configured to perform a first function based on the first optical signal to output a first output result. The second circuitry, coupled to the second region, is configured to perform a second function based on the second optical signal to output a second output result.

Provided is a method for decoding a prediction mode. In response to determining that a merge mode is enabled for a current block and a current candidate prediction mode is allowed for the current block, acquiring enablement states of one or more to-be-traversed prediction modes; decoding indication information of the current candidate prediction mode from a code stream in response to determining that a candidate prediction mode being allowed is present in to-be-traversed prediction modes, wherein the indication information is configured to indicate whether to enable the current candidate prediction mode for the current block, and determining that the current candidate prediction mode is enabled for the current block without decoding the indication information of the current candidate prediction mode from the code stream in response to determining that none of the to-be-traversed prediction modes is allowed.

Embodiments of the present application disclose a splicing portal frame for a rail transfer robot and the rail transfer robot. The splicing portal frame comprises column units and a splicing structure for fixedly connecting two docking ends of one pair of column units; wherein, the splicing structure comprises locating columns, locating holes and a connecting member, wherein the locating columns and the locating holes are respectively arranged at two docking end faces of the pair of the column units, and the locating holes are used for inserting and installing the locating columns; then, two ends of the connecting member along the first direction are respectively fixedly installed at the docking ends of the pair of column units, in this way, the splicing structure can fixedly connect the two docking ends of the pair of the column units or fixedly connect the pair of the column units in its length direction, which prolongs the height of the portal frame of the rail transfer robot and solves the technical problem of the limited work height of the rail transfer robot caused by the short length of the existing portal frame.

There is provided methods and systems for balancing junction temperatures between at least two power switches of a multilevel converter. A junction temperature of each of the at least two power switches is received. A difference in junction temperature between the at least two power switches is determined. A ratio of operating time for which the multilevel converter operates using a first pulse width modulation, PWM, mode of a plurality of PWM modes is defined based on closed loop control in order to reduce the difference in junction temperature of the at least two power switches. Finally, a control signal is generated to operate the multilevel converter using the first PWM mode for the ratio of operating time.

Various techniques are described to control the rate of change of current (di/dt) and the rate of change of voltage (dV/dt) for power electronic switches with conventional gate drivers and a few additional components. By implementing these techniques, designers may achieve better control over the switching behavior, reduce losses, and improve the overall reliability and efficiency of their circuits. The decoding method includes: decoding (7201) first BDPCM indication information; decoding (7401) second BDPCM indication information; decoding the current processing unit based on the first BDPCM indication information and the second BDPCM indication information; and, determining whether the current processing unit is capable of enabling decoding in the BDPCM mode based on the first BDPCM indication information, the second BDPCM indication information and a size of the current processing unit.
