The invention relates to a method for operating a broadband access network of a telecommunications network with a customer premises equipment, wherein the broadband access network comprises at least one access node,wherein a specific access node of the broadband access network is enabled to operatively connect the customer premises equipment to the telecommunications network in view of providing communication services and/or communication access services to a user related or connected to the customer premises equipment,wherein the broadband access network is able to provide communication access services to the customer premises equipment by means of providing a whole sale interface to a service provider, wherein the service provider is able to provide communication services to the customer premises equipment and/or to the related or connected user using the whole sale interface and the broadband access network,wherein, in case that the customer premises equipment is unknown to the telecommunications network or has previously not been connected to the telecommunications network, a whole sale entity is involved, the whole sale entity being separated from both the broadband access network and the service provider, wherein, in view to realize or to prepare the operational usage of the customer premises equipment, the method comprises the following steps:-- in a first step, the whole sale entity transmits an authentication request to the service provider using a first application programming interface, the first application programming interface being exposed by the service provider,-- in a second step and in case of the authentication request having been granted, the whole sale entity transmits a configuration command to the broadband access network using a second application programming interface, the second application programming interface being exposed by the broadband access network. |

The invention pertains to a computer-implemented method for optimizing an assignment of frequencies (f) to cells (C) of a mobile communications network (1). The cells (C) are distributed for communication within the mobile communications network (1). A set of unplanned cells (2) in the mobile communications network (1) is specified. For each unplanned cell (2) a set of frequencies (f) to be potentially assigned to this unplanned cell (2) is specified. Frequency interference probabilities (p) of selected cell pairs are calculated, wherein each cell pair defines a relation of an unplanned cell (2) to another cell (c) within the mobile communications network (1). Then, terms of a stress function are formulated, each term connecting a calculated frequency interference probability (p) of a respective cell pair with a frequency relation between the cells (2, c) of the respective cell pair. An optimized assignment of frequencies (f) is determined by using a quantum concept processor (7), thereby selecting for each unplanned cell (2) a sub-set of frequencies (f) from the respective set of frequencies, such that the stress function is minimized. |

The invention relates to a method for an improved authentication, authorization and accounting functionality within an access network of a telecommunications network and/or an improved access network architecture, wherein the telecommunications network comprises an authentication server entity providing an authentication, authorization and accounting functionality, AAA, as well as a policy server functionality, wherein the telecommunications network furthermore comprises a plurality of service edge entities, each service edge entity providing a service enabling functionality to subscriber devices connected to the telecommunications network, wherein - in order to enable or to provide communication services to the subscriber devices requesting such communication services - AAA-related messages are sent and received by both the authentication server entity and the service edge entity via an access orchestrator entity as part of the access network, the AAA-related messages conforming to or using an access protocol used between the authentication server entity and the service edge entity, wherein, in order for an improved authentication, authorization and accounting functionality and/or access network architecture to be realized, the method comprises the following steps: -- in a first step, a first AAA-related message, is sent by the authentication server entity, and received by the access orchestrator entity, the first AAA-related message comprising, besides at least one standardized message attribute according to the used access protocol, also at least one vendor-specific message attribute, -- in a second step, subsequent to the first step, the access orchestrator entity sends a second AAA-related message to the service edge entity, the second AAA-related message solely comprising the at least one standardized message attribute according to the used access protocol, -- in a third step, subsequent to the first step and prior, during or after the second step, the access orchestrator entity sends at least one third AAA-related message to the service edge entity, the at least one third AAA-related message corresponding to a message according to an application programming interface, API, or to a further access protocol. |
