A method of operating a hearing device and a hearing device is disclosed, the hearing device comprising an antenna for converting a first wireless input signal of a first external source to an antenna output signal a radio transceiver coupled to the antenna for converting the antenna output signal to a transceiver input signal; a set of microphones comprising a first microphone for provision of a first microphone input signal; a pre-processing unit connected to the radio transceiver and the first microphone for pre-processing the transceiver input signal and the first microphone input signal; a processor for processing input signals and providing an electrical output signal based on input signals; a receiver for converting the electrical output signal to an audio output signal, a processing controller comprising a direction estimator configured to estimate a head direction of a user of the hearing device, wherein the hearing device is configured to select and apply a processing scheme in the hearing device based on the estimated head direction. |

The present invention relates to an audio rendering system; comprising a wireless communications device, a first audio rendering device and a second audio rendering device; wherein the wireless communications device is configured to transmit a first plurality of audio packets to the first audio rendering device and a second plurality of audio packets to the second audio rendering device, the first plurality of audio packets including frames of audio data for a first audio channel from a set of one or more audio channels and the second plurality of audio packets including frames of audio data for a second audio channel from said set of one or more audio channels; wherein the first audio rendering device is configured to maintain a first buffer of received frames of audio data and to release frames of audio data from said first buffer for rendering at respective first buffer release times; wherein the second audio rendering device is configured to maintain a second buffer of received frames of audio data and to release frames of audio data from said second buffer for rendering at respective second buffer release times; wherein the first audio rendering device is configured to receive one or more messages from the second audio rendering device; and wherein at least the first audio rendering device is configured to synchronise the first buffer release times with the second buffer release times based on the received one or more messages. |
