A ray-based detection system for detecting a wave blocking content within an environment (E) in based on ray-tracing. The system suits for detecting presence of an object or a human in the environment, in particular for safety of security applications. Two alternative implementations are provided for inferring the presence of the object or human from sensed waves. The system also allows distinguishing between several postures of the detected human. The waves implemented by the ray-based detection system may be radio waves, acoustic waves or laser-emitted waves. |

The container for storing thermal energy, comprises or consists of at least one wall defining an internal space of the container, a phase change material located in the internal space of the container and a gas located in the internal space of the container, characterized in that the gas in the internal space of the container has a higher thermal conductivity than air and the internal space of the container is sealed from an external space of the container in a gas-tight manner. The container for storing thermal energy according to the invention has an improved heat transfer property and a higher long-term stability. |

A process for monitoring a degradation state of an electrical interconnection (15) in a power module assembly (100), comprises capturing a detection signal that is sensitive to a reverse recovery current originating from a diode (14) of the power module assembly. The reverse recovery current is triggered by a turning-on switching operation of a switch (11) in a tested half-bridge branch (1) that comprises said diode, switch and interconnection. The invention process may be combined optionally with another monitoring process based on a turning-off switching operation of the switch, for monitoring a degradation state of another electrical interconnection within the same half-bridge branch. Complete interconnection monitoring for said half-bridge branch is thus possible. |
