The backlight assembly includes a plurality of light sources (LS, LS-1, LS-2), a printed circuit board (PB) on which the light sources are mounted, and a light guiding plate (550). The light guiding plate has a curved shape and guides the light provided from the light sources to the display panel. The light sources are sequentially arranged along the curved direction of the light guiding plate, and a longitudinal direction of at least one of the light sources is different from a longitudinal direction of the other light sources. |

In one aspect, the sensing driving circuit (500A-K) includes a plurality of stages configured to respectively output a plurality of sensing signals (SEN[k]) and including a (K)th stage and a (K+1)th stage. The (K)th stage includes a shift register (600A-k) configured to provide a (K)th carry signal to the (K+1)th stage; and a masking buffer (700A-k) configured to output a (K)th sensing signal. The masking buffer includes a first input circuit (710) configured to provide i) an input signal (CARRY[k-1]; SSP) to a first node (N1) based on a node driving signal (SET) and ii) a first power voltage (VGH) to a second node (N2) based on the input signal (CARRY[k-1]; SSP) and the node driving signal (SET). The masking buffer also includes a node masking circuit (740) configured to supply the first power voltage (VGH) to the first node (N1) based on a masking signal (MASK). |

The present disclosure relates to a curved liquid crystal display and a manufacturing method thereof. The curved liquid crystal display comprises a first substrate (110), a second substrate (210) facing the first substrate (110), a liquid crystal layer (3) between the first substrate (110) and the second substrate (210) and including liquid crystal molecules (310), a first alignment layer (11) between the first substrate (110) and the liquid crystal layer (3), and a second alignment layer (21) between the second substrate (210) and the liquid crystal layer (3). The first alignment layer (11) and/or the second alignment layer (210) comprises a polymer, for example, polyimide, including a main chain and side chains connected to the main chain, wherein one or more of the side chains include at least a photo-reactive group capable of undergoing photodecomposition such as benzophenone. The liquid crystal layer (3) comprises a reactive mesogen; the liquid crystal display is fabricated by irradiating the liquid crystal while applying an electric field. The photo-reactive groups can react with the reactive mesogen and forms bumps (15, 25) on the surface of the alignment layers (11, 21). |
