A cooling assembly (1), in particular for a motor vehicle, the cooling assembly (1) comprising: a primary heat exchanger (10) comprising a pair of primary collector boxes (11, 12), the primary collector boxes (11, 12) with primary header plates (13, 14), the primary header plates (13, 14) being of essentially rectangular shape; a plurality of primary tubes (15) stacked between the primary header plates (13, 14); a secondary heat exchanger (20) comprising a pair of secondary collector boxes (21, 22) with secondary header plates (23, 24) being of essentially rectangular shape; a plurality of secondary tubes (25) stacked between the secondary collector boxes (21, 22), characterized in that the primary heat exchanger (10) and the secondary heat exchanger (20) are arranged in parallel, perpendicularly to each other so that the secondary header plates (23, 24) of the secondary heat exchanger (20) at least partially overlap the stack of the primary tubes (15) of the primary heat exchanger (10).

A header-tank assembly for a heat exchanger is provided. The header-tank assembly includes a header, a tank, a protrusion and a groove. The tank is provided with a conduit connected from a first side of the tank, so that a centre of gravity of the tank is shifted towards the first side of the tank. Further, the tank includes a foot portion adapted to be coupled to the header. The protrusion is formed on of any one of an outer wall of the foot portion of the tank and an inner wall of the header. The groove, complimentary to the protrusion, is formed at least one of the outer sidewall of the foot portion of the tank and the inner wall of the header. The protrusion and the groove are so formed on a side opposite to the first side of the tank.

An embodiment of the invention herein provides a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a pair of spaced apart manifolds, and a plurality of heat exchange elements extended between the pair of spaced apart manifolds. Further, at least one manifold of the pair of spaced apart manifolds includes a first part and a second part integrally formed with the first part at an angle. Further, the first part and the second part are having same profile and same cross-section.

An embodiment of the invention herein provides a heat exchanger assembly comprising a heat exchanger and a protection grid. The heat exchanger comprises a plurality of tubes with open ends, a pair of manifolds comprising tanks and headers configured to receive the open ends of the tubes and headers configured to receive the open ends of the tubes. The protection grid mounted on the heat exchanger comprises a first pair of sides parallel to headers and a second pair of sides parallel to the tubes. The protection grid is fixed to the heat exchanger along second sides. The protection grid comprises at least one spacing element on at least one of the first side of the protection grid, which interacts with the heat exchanger to deform the protection grid to a curved profile so that at least a portion of the first edge is spaced away from the heat exchanger.

The present invention provides a heat exchanger for a vehicle that includes a first header, a second header, a first tank, a second tank, heat exchange tubes, a second tube and an intermediate tube. The first tank includes an inlet and an outlet, adapted to be coupled to the first header. The second tank is adapted to be coupled to the second header. Further, the heat exchange tubes is deployed in parallel to each other between the first header and the second header. Further, the adjacent tubes of the plurality of heat exchange tubes form first tubes. The second tube disposed between the first header and the second header, is in fluidic communication with the first set of tubes. Further, the intermediate tube located between the second tube and the first tubes, is configured to block the fluid communication between the first tank and the second tank.
