Systems, devices and methods for providing a pressurized fluid for facilitating conductive gel release prior to providing cardiac therapy to a patient are disclosed. A first system can include a chemical reaction chamber including a first chemical and a second chemical isolated from each other by a mechanical barrier. The mechanical barrier is configured to be compromised upon receiving a signal from an electrotherapy device controller such that the first chemical and second chemical come into contact to produce a sufficient amount of pressurized fluid. An alternative system can include a pressure source comprising a reservoir containing a pressurized fluid. The pressure source can also include at least one release mechanism configured to cause a release of the pressurized fluid from the reservoir to an exit port of the pressure source when a wearable medical device is preparing to deliver a therapeutic shock to a patient.

Leakage components are described herein. The leakage component includes a first tubing housing and a plurality of leakage ports. The first tubular housing defines a first flow path between a first end portion and a second end portion. The plurality of leakage ports are formed in the first housing and in fluid communication with the first flow path The fluid flow through the plurality of leakage ports is configured to entrain ambient air into the fluid flow exiting the plurality of leakage ports to decelerate the fluid flow.

Methods and systems that analyze electrocardiogram (ECG) data to identify whether it would be beneficial for a caregiver to administer an electric shock to the heart in an effort to get the heart back into a normal pattern and a consistent, strong beat. By conducting a running check for conditions that are pre-validated by a comprehensive patient database to have high predictive value (e.g., with a low false-positive rate), a shockable rhythm can be identified fast (e.g., less than 6 seconds, less than 3 seconds, possibly in less than a second) and without having to analyze ECG data for longer time segments than would otherwise be required using conventional methods.
