A modular component for forming a walkway or walkway section for machinery of an industrial plant. The component is configurable to have one or two open opposite ends and/or an open side for the passage of operators. A coupling means for coupling the component to at least one adjacent component about the or each open end and/or the open side of the component.

There is provided a profile device (100, 500, 900) for forming part of a frame member (202, 602, 1002), said frame member (202, 602, 1002) being suitable for forming part of a frame assembly (200, 600, 1000) for a glazing system (300, 700, 1100), the glazing system (300, 700, 1100) comprising a glazing unit (302, 702, 1102) selectable from a first glazing unit (302a, 702a, 1102a) having a first glazing unit thickness and a second glazing unit (302b, 702b, 1102b) having a second glazing unit thickness that is different to the first glazing unit thickness. The profile device (100, 500, 900 is configured to form a first interlocking arrangement with a first portion profile member (204, 604, 1004) forming part of the frame member (202, 602, 1002), and a second interlocking arrangement with the same first portion profile member (204, 604, 1004) such that selected glazing unit (302, 702, 1102) may be flushly seated in the glazing system (300, 700, 1100).

The frame-mountable component (4) comprises a channel (14), and wherein the sash-mountable component (6) comprises a guide arrangement (16), the guide arrangement (16) being configured to move through the channel (14) of the frame-mountable component (4) and to guide the relative movement between the frame-mountable component (4) and the sash-mountable component (6). At least part of the guide arrangement (16) is adjustable so that the guide arrangement (16) occupies more or less of the space of the channel (14) of the frame-mountable component (4).
