Über die Kanzlei
IK-IP Limited ist eine vergleichsweise junge, 2020 in London gegründete Kanzlei, die sich selbst bewusst als neuer Player in einem traditionsreichen Feld positioniert und mit kollaborativer, kreativer Beratung auffallen will. Ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal ist die Spezialisierung auf KI und Softwareschutz: Mitglieder des Teams haben selbst KI-Systeme entwickelt und bringen diese Praxiserfahrung in die Patentstrategie ein, getreu dem Leitsatz „Filing a patent is not an IP strategy“. Über klassische Patentanmeldungen hinaus deckt das Team Marken, Designs, Einspruchsverfahren, Portfoliomanagement und Vertretung vor dem Einheitlichen Patentgericht (UPC) ab, mit eigenen Teams für Europa, den asiatisch-pazifischen Raum und die USA. Das Fachmagazin IAM zeichnete die Kanzlei mehrere Jahre in Folge als „Global IP Leader“ aus.

Zusammenfassung
This invention relates to a substrate for mammalian cell culture comprising a co-polymer hydrogel comprising monomeric units of acrylamide, bisacrylamide and a coupling compound, such as 6-acylamidohexanoic acid (6AHA). A cell adhesion molecule, such as a component of the extracellular matrix (ECM), is covalently coupled to the coupling compound monomeric units of the co-polymer. The stiffness and cell adhesion molecule density of the substrate can be independently controlled by altering the concentration of acrylamide and coupling compound in the hydrogel, respectively. Substrates and methods and kits for their production are provided, along with cell culture systems and methods of culturing mammalian cells. |

Zusammenfassung
A device applies torque to a target component and applies counter-torque to a base component while the target component is rotated with regard to the base. The device may include a power source portion configured to generate torque and an engagement portion at a distal end of the device. The engagement portion may be selectably removable from the power source portion and includes a rotating shaft that engages a target component and is disposed within a housing having an engagement tip. The engagement tip may be configured to engage a target base. A torque limiter is removably positioned between the power source portion and the engagement portion and couples a powered distal tip of the power source portion and the rotating shaft. The torque limiter prevents a transfer of torque between the powered distal tip and the rotating shaft when the transferred torque is greater than a calibrated torque value. |

A genomic data analyzer workflow may be configured to identify, with a variant annotation module, subsets of patient variants which match at least one medical reference variant database entry, even if the variant calling information in genomic data analyzer workflow and the database use different variant representations of SNP, MNP, INDELS and DELINS. In particular, database variants which are included into a subset of patient variants may be identified even if they do not exactly match the corresponding strings. The variant annotation module may be adapted to apply a branch-and-bound-like algorithm to efficiently process all possible subsets of patient variants in a genomic region. |
