A hearing device, e.g. a hearing aid, is configured to be worn by a user, e.g. fully or partially on the head of the user, comprises a) an input transducer for converting a sound comprising a target sound from a target talker and possible additional sound in an environment of the user, when the user wears the hearing device, to an electric sound signal representative of said sound, b) an auxiliary input unit configured to provide an auxiliary electric signal representative of said target signal or properties thereof, c) a processor connected to said input transducer and to said auxiliary input unit, and wherein said processor is configured to apply a processing algorithm to said electric sound signal, or a signal derived therefrom, to provide an enhanced signal by attenuating components of said additional sound relative to components of said target sound in said electric sound signal, or said signal derived therefrom. The auxiliary electric signal is derived from visual information, e.g. from a camera, containing information of current vibrations of a facial or throat region of said target talker, and the processing algorithm is configured to use the auxiliary electric signal or the signal derived therefrom to provide the enhanced signal.

An in-the-ear hearing aid device is disclosed. The device at least one electro-acoustic transducer, and at least one sensor or at least one active electronic component. The at least one electro-acoustic transducer comprises a capsule enclosing a transducer sound active part and a transducer air volume. The transducer air volume is air volume which is enclosed by said capsule and which is in fluid-connection with said transducer sound active part. At least a portion of said at least one sensor or of said at least one active electronic component is provided within said transducer air volume.

A hearing assistance system comprises an input unit for providing electric input sound signals u i , each representing sound signals U; from a multitude n u of sound sources S i , an electroencephalography (EEG) system for recording activity of the auditory system of the user's brain and providing a multitude ny of EEG signals y j , and a source selection processing unit receiving said electric input sound signals u i and said EEG signals y j , and in dependence thereof configured to provide a source selection signal S x indicative of the sound source S x that the user currently pays attention to using a selective algorithm that determines a sparse model to select the most relevant EEG electrodes and time intervals based on minimizing a cost function measuring the correlation between the individual sound sources and the EEG signals, and to determine the source selection signal S x based on the cost functions obtained for said multitude of sound sources.
