A chromatography column (100) comprises a main tube assembly (110) comprising a main tube (111) extending from an inlet end (114a) of the main tube assembly (110) to an outlet end (114b) of the main tube assembly (110), an inlet adapter assembly (120) coupled to the inlet end (114a) of the main tube assembly (110), an outlet adapter assembly (130) coupled to the outlet end (114b) of the main tube assembly (110), and a clip (162) comprising: an upper surface (162a); a lower surface (162b) opposite the upper surface (162a); a tube gripping portion (164) comprising a bore (165) that extends from the upper surface (162a) to the lower surface (162b), wherein receipt of the main tube (111) within the bore (165) of the tube gripping portion (164) secures the clip (162) to the main tube (111).

An adapter assembly (120) for a chromatography column (100) comprises an inner end cap (122), an outer end cap (124) coupled to the inner end cap (122), and an inlet end piece (140) coupled to the inner end cap (122). The inlet endpiece (140) is axially constrained with respect to the inner end cap (122) such that rotation of the inner end cap (122) causes axial movement of the inlet endpiece (140) within a main tube (111) of the main tube assembly (110). The adapter assembly (120) further comprises a translating member (150) slidably coupled to the outer end cap (124) to allow movement of the translating member (150) in a transverse direction of the adapter assembly (120). When the translating member (150) is in an engaged position, the inner end cap (122) and the outer end cap (124) are rotationally unconstrained and when the translating member (150) is in a disengaged position, the inner end cap (122) and the outer end cap (124) are rotationally constrained with respect to each other.

A fluid distribution system (144) for a chromatography column (100) comprises a sample introduction module (146) and a flow distribution module (250) positioned on a distal side (240-2) of the sample introduction module (146). The sample introduction module (146) comprises an inlet tube adapter (242a) at a proximal side (240-1) of the sample introduction module (146), wherein the inlet tube adapter (242a) is configured for fluidic connection with an inlet tube (102) of the chromatography column (100); and a central fluid passageway (242c) extending from the inlet tube adapter (242a) to the distal side (240-2) of the sample introduction module (146). The flow distribution module (250) comprises: a plurality of flow distribution arms (252) extending radially outward from an axial center of the flow distribution module (250), wherein each flow distribution arm (252) comprises a groove (252a) that extends along the flow distribution arm (252) and faces toward a distal end surface (146b) of the sample introduction module (146); and a plurality of central openings that extend through the flow distribution module (250).

A puncture-resistant catheter and/or a puncture-resistant sleeve for a catheter may be provided. The puncture-resistant catheter may have a catheter portion and a puncture-resistant portion. The puncture-resistant portion may be made of a material which is resistant to needles and/or sharp objects. The puncture-resistant portion may be a layer on the outside of the catheter or may be a sleeve attachable to a repositioning unit.

A device, system, and method of use are provided. The device includes a cannula having a lumen extending therethrough, an inflow cage coupled to one end of the cannula and an outflow cage coupled to the other end of the cage. The inflow cage includes an inflow check valve that is configured to allow blood to flow into the lumen only when a pressure inside the lumen is less than a pressure of blood external to the inflow check valve. The outflow cage includes an outflow check valve that is configured to allow blood to flow out of the lumen through at least one outlet only when a pressure in the lumen is greater than a pressure of blood external to the outflow check valve. A catheter is operably coupled the outflow cage. A pump capable of generating positive and negative pressures is operably coupled to the lumen.

A modular blood-gas exchange system is provided. The system may include a first oxygenator manifold, a second oxygenator manifold, and a plurality of blood-gas exchange cartridges removably coupled to the first and second oxygenator manifolds. The first oxygenator manifold may include a plurality of first blood ports. The second oxygenator manifold may include a plurality of second blood ports. Each blood-gas exchange cartridges may be configured to allow blood and a sweep gas to flow through the removably attachable cartridge, and may be configured to allow a gas molecule to transfer between the sweep gas and the blood.

Devices and techniques for estimating/detecting a location of a mixing cloud in a vessel of a subject may be provided. The techniques may include positioning a first tubular member within the vessel and flowing blood through a first lumen from a proximal end to a distal end of either the first tubular member or a second tubular member in a direction retrograde to a direction blood is natively flowing in the vessel. The techniques may include determining a plurality of blood-related characteristics of blood flowing in the vessel, such as arterial blood oxygen saturation values, each determined from blood acquired at a different axial position along the first tubular member, and/or pressure values, each determined from a pressure sensor at different axial positions along an exterior surface of the first tubular member. The techniques may include estimating a location of the mixing cloud based on the blood-related characteristics.

A blood pump is provided, that is configured to be disposed within the inferior vena cava (IVC). The blood pump may include a cannula having an inlet and an outlet, and an impeller configured to cause blood to flow through the cannula from the inlet towards the outlet. The inlet may be configured to be disposed at or near where the renal veins connect to the IVC. An occlusive balloon, anchor(s), and/or fixate(s) may be operably coupled to a surface of the cannula. A film may be coupled to anchor(s) and/or fixate(s), to restrict the flow of blood past the film. Restriction of blood flow around the cannula creates a pressure gradient between the inlet and outlet in the IVC, allowing for effective decongestion of the venous compartment distal of the inlet. The anchor(s) and/or fixate(s) may prevent vein collapse during operation due to increased negative pressures.

Disclosed is a blood pump rotor, and an intravascular blood pump that utilizes the rotor. The blood pump rotor is configured to rotate around an axis of rotation, and comprises a distal portion and a proximal portion. The distal portion includes a rotor hub, which tapers in a distal direction. The rotor hub has at least one blade extending outward from the rotor hub. Further, a distal end of said rotor hub extends distally beyond a most distal portion of the at least one blade. The proximal portion, which is connected to the distal portion, has permanent magnets arranged so as to form a Halbach array generating a magnetic field having a magnetic flux in a proximal direction that is greater than a magnetic flux in a distal direction, said first magnetic flux being greater than said second magnetic flux. The Halbach array comprises an alternating arrangement of axial magnetized magnets and circumferential magnetized magnets. At least one secondary blade is provided on a proximal surface of at least one circumferential magnetized magnet, wherein the at least one secondary blade extends axially in a proximal direction.

A method for generating a synthesis voice is provided, which is performed by one or more processors, and includes acquiring a text-to-speech synthesis model trained to generate a synthesis voice for a training text, based on reference voice data and a training style tag represented by natural language, receiving a target text, acquiring a style tag represented by natural language, and inputting the style tag and the target text into the text-to-speech synthesis model and acquiring a synthesis voice for the target text reflecting voice style features related to the style tag.
