The present invention relates to a steel making plant (1) comprising:- at least one apparatus (10) provided with a direct water cooling system (11) which generates a cooling water flow (CW) containing dissolved solids; - a cooling water treatment circuit (100) which is fluidically connected to said direct water cooling system (11) and is suitable to treat said cooling water flow (CW) so as to recirculate to said direct cooling system (11) a recirculating water flow (RW) having a concentration of said dissolved solids below a predefined limit. Said circuit (100) in turn comprises at least one mechanical separation unit (110, 130, 1100) suitable to separate the solids contained in the cooling water flow (CW), generating a sludge flow (S);- a cooling unit (120) which is fluidically connected to said direct water cooling system (11) by means of a return conduit (101b) which closes the circuit as a loop.- The cooling water treatment circuit (100) further comprises at least one electrocoagulation system (1000) which is suitable to treat at least a part of said cooling water flow (CW) so as to facilitate the separation of said dissolved solids from the water in the form of flocs and/or clots separable by said at least one mechanical separation unit (110, 130, 1100), thereby lowering the concentration of dissolved solids in the cooling water flow (CW). |

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a furniture door with a three-dimensional design on a front face of said door, comprising in sequence the following operational steps: a) obtaining from a panel of at least one predefined material the body of a raw door having a predefined peripheral contour through cutting operations, said body of a raw door presenting a first face that will define a front face of the door and a second face that is opposite to the first and will define a rear face of the door; b) working the first face of the body of said raw door by performing operations of material removal and/or material addition to obtain said three-dimensional design on said first face; c) applying a thermoplastic covering film on the first face and on the peripheral edges of said raw door by means of thermoforming technique using a membrane press. Said panel of at least one predefined material comprises at least one layer of chipboard or honeycomb panel. Before step c), said method comprises a step d) of covering the peripheral edges of the body of said raw door by applying an edging laminate, so as to obtain a raw edged door. Said step c) is carried out on said raw edged door by applying the thermoplastic covering film extended both to the first face of the body of said raw door and to the edging foil. |

The invention relates to a disc (1) for disc brakes, comprising a braking band (2), equipped with two opposing braking surfaces (2a, 2b), the braking band (2) being made of gray cast iron or steel. Said disk comprises: - a base layer (30) covering at least one of the two braking surfaces (2a, 2b) of the braking band (2), and - a bonding layer (3) which is interposed between said base layer (30) and the braking surface (2a, 2b). Said base layer (30) consists of a matrix of titanium and/or a titanium alloy comprising one or more carbides and defines a tribologically active surface of the disk (1); or said base layer (30) consists of a layer of titanium and/or a titanium alloy and is in turn covered by a coating layer (300), which in turn consists of a layer based on one or more carbides and defines a tribologically active surface of the disk (1). Said one or more carbides are selected from the group consisting of titanium carbide (TiC), tungsten carbide (WC), chromium carbide, niobium carbide (NbC), molybdenum carbide (Mo2C), and silicon carbide (SiC). Said bond layer (3) consists of a layer of titanium, or of a titanium or steel alloy. At the interface between said bond layer (3) and the braking band (2) in gray cast iron or steel there is a first intermediate interfusion layer (32) having a mixed composition between said bond layer (3) and the braking band (2). At the interface between said base layer (30) and said bond layer (3) there is a second intermediate interfusion layer (33) having a mixed composition between said base layer (30) and said bond layer (3). Said base layer (30) and said bond layer (3) both have a crystalline structure with a growth direction predominantly orthogonal to the braking surface. |

The present invention concerns an injection moulding process for making an item without welds (1; 10) having at least two elements (1a, 1b; 10a, 10b) physically separated from each other, interconnected by means of two connection portions (2a, 2b; 12a, 12b) mutually interpenetrating and non-removable with respect to each other. Said process comprises the use of at least a first mould (100; 110) shaped to define with its own injection chamber (101) the volume corresponding to one of the two connection portions (2b; 12b), separating it with its own walls from the other connection portion (2a; 12a). Said first mould (100; 110) is made of a support material soluble in a solvent bath (400). The injection moulding provides for injecting at least into the injection chamber (101) of said first mould (100; 110) an injection material which is injectable at a temperature lower than the decomposition temperature of the material with which the first mould is made. |

The present invention concerns a refrigerated cabinet (1) comprising a box-shaped containment body (10) comprising a base (11), two side walls (12, 13), a front wall (14), a rear wall (15) and a top cover (16) to delimit within it a main compartment (2), and a refrigeration system (20), which is housed in a technical compartment (5) formed in a seat (6) delimited by said containment body (10) adjacent to said main compartment (2) at the rear wall (15). The containment body (10) in turn comprises an outer box-like structure (100), defined by the reversible coupling between a base body (110) which constitutes the base (11) of the cabinet (1), a plurality of shaped metal sheets (120, 130, 140) which extend to the two side walls (12, 13) and to the front wall (14), and a lid (150) which constitutes the top cover (16). The containment body further comprises an inner box-like structure (200), the walls (210) of which are directly facing the main compartment (2) and define at least the bottom, the two side walls and the ceiling of said main compartment. A gap (300) is delimited between the outer box-like structure (100) and the inner box-like structure (200), which is occupied by a plurality of preformed panels (310, 320, 330, 340) made of heat-insulating material. The containment body (10) further comprises a back body (400) which is suitable to complete said body at the rear wall (15) and on which said refrigeration system (20) is installed. The back body (400) is separably couplable to the rest of the body. |
