A beverage maker device is disclosed. In embodiments, the device includes an external housing and a water tank (202) coupled to a water supply via an inlet. The beverage maker includes a manifold (204) within the housing, the manifold controlling the dispensing of the water into a server or through a faucet via solenoid valves (206). Within the inlet body connecting the tank to the water supply are plumbed two pressure transducers on either side (e.g., tank-side and coupling-side) of a restriction orifice. The tank-side and coupling-side pressure transducers (410, 408) sense flow pressure on their respective sides of the restriction orifice and generate tank-side and coupling-side flow pressure signals. Within the housing a process control board (PCB) (208) includes control processors and control circuitry in communication with the solenoid valves. The PCB control processors determine a differential pressure associated with the water flow based on the received tank-side and coupling-side pressure signals.

The beverage maker includes a pressure transducer (224) coupled to the inlet and capable of sensing a flow pressure of the water through the inlet, sending a pressure signal to the beverage maker control circuitry (402) based on the determined flow pressure. The control circuitry receives the pressure signal and determines a flow volume of the water through the inlet based on the flow pressure; if the flow volume reaches a flow threshold, the control circuitry cuts off the flow of water via the solenoid valves.

A second self-disinfecting partition system is disclosed that includes a housing configured to fit around the headrest and/or seatback of a passenger seat. The system further includes an accordion-folded flexible screen coupled to the housing that deploys from the housing and disinfected via electromagnetic energy.

A construction of commercial aircraft interior monument employs carbon fiber Spread Tow Fabric (STF) as face sheets (skins) surrounding a paper honeycomb or foam core to produce flat pressed panels of high strength and desirable thickness. Each individual panel is joined with other panels to construct a modular rectangular cubic able to be modularly coupled with additional structures to form the aircraft monument. The use individual STF panels offer a desirable weight and footprint of a fabricated structure as a whole. Also usable in conjunction with other composite reinforcements, the individual STF panels produce hybrid lay-ups for both pressed flat panel and tooled composite moldings offering a high strength to weight ratio of the overall monument.

An additively manufactured strut device including a cylinder body (102) forming a chamber and a piston (108) having a first part disposed in the internal chamber and a second part disposed outside of the chamber. In further embodiments, a third deformable element formed as a lattice structure may be collocated with the second deformable element (122). The strut may be manufactured by an additive manufacturing process. Applications for the energy absorbing strut include aircraft seat frames among other applications.
