A power tool (10) includes a housing (12, 14), a motor (26), an output member (11) driven by the motor, and a reaming attachment (214) coupled to the output member. The reaming attachment has a front end portion selectively driven in rotation by the output member (11) to drive a fastener into a workpiece, and a reaming portion selectively driven in rotation by the output member to remove material from an end surface of a conduit. A rotational motion sensor (22) in the housing (12, 14) is operable to detect rotational motion of the housing about an axis. A controller (24) receives a signal indicative of rotational motion from the sensor, determines a direction of the rotational motion of the housing (12, 14), and drives the motor in a direction corresponding to the direction of rotational motion of the housing.

A saw comprising: a base assembly (6, 100); a cutting unit (50) pivotably mounted on the base assembly to allow the cutting unit to pivot towards or away from the base assembly, a circular saw blade (124) rotationally mounted on the cutting unit which can be rotationally driven by a motor; a fixed guard (304, 306) mounted on the cutting unit which surrounds at least a portion of the upper edge of the saw blade; a pivotal guard (308) pivotally mounted on the cutting unit which can pivot from a first position, where it surrounds at least a portion of the lower edge of the saw blade to a second retracted position where the portion of the lower edge of the saw blade is exposed; a biasing mechanism (312) which biases the pivotal guard towards its first position; a pivotal guard actuating mechanism which is capable of moving the pivotal guard from its first position to its second retracted position; wherein the pivotal guard actuation mechanism comprises; a hand lever (116) pivotally mounted on the cutting unit; a cam mechanism comprising a cam (344) and cam follower (340) connected between the hand lever and the pivotal guard wherein the cam is connected to the pivotal guard and the cam follower is connected to the hand lever; wherein the biasing mechanism urges the cam into engagement with the cam follower; wherein pivotal movement of the pivotal guard between its second position to its first position results in the movement of the cam follower from a second position (348) to a first position (346) along the cam; wherein, when the cam follower is in its first position along the cam, pivotal movement of the hand lever results in the cam follower being moved along the cam towards its second position to pivot the pivotal guard towards its second position against the biasing force of the biasing mechanism.

A floating sleeve (510) has a rear portion with a pair of opposed window openings (514), a front portion supporting a magnet (50), and a pair of balls (516), with each ball disposed in one of the window openings. The floating sleeve (510) is receivable over the tool bit (900) with the magnet (50) proximate the first working regions (904) and the balls (516) received in the first reduced diameter portion (912) to allow the floating sleeve to move between a first position in which the balls abut the first shoulder (916) and a second position in which the balls abut the second shoulder (920).

A swivel hanger system includes an anchor member with an anchor head disposed at an end of the anchor member and an elongated body, where at least a portion of the elongated body is configured to be inserted into a support member when the system is connected with the support member. A power tool includes a housing, an output shaft having a tool axis, and a motion sensor that senses motion of the tool housing. A control circuit receives an input signal from the motion sensor, to make a first determination, based on the input signal, whether the tool is being operated in a horizontal mode or a vertical mode. The control circuit makes a second determination, based on the input signal, whether the tool axis is substantially level when the tool is being operated in the horizontal mode or the tool axis is substantially plumb when the tool is being operated in the vertical mode. An indicator receives an output signal from the control circuit that causes the indicator to indicate whether the tool axis is level when being operated in the horizontal mode or plumb when being operated in the vertical mode.
