The present invention relates to a door (10) for a domestic appliance, in particular an oven door (10) for a cooking oven. The door (10) comprises a front panel (12) and at least one door handle (14) made of metal and arranged at an outer side of said front panel (12). The door (10) comprises at least one electric and/or electronic device (18) arranged inside and/or at the door handle (14). The door (10) comprises at least one fastening element (24) for fastening the door handle (14) at the front panel (12). At least one conducting element (26) is attached at the inner side and/or outer side of the front panel (12). The fastening element (24) penetrates the front panel (12) and the conducting element (26), the conducting element (26) includes a terminal lug (32) connected or connectable to a grounding element (32), and the grounding element (30) is connected or connectable to a chassis of the domestic appliance, so that the door handle (14) is grounded via the fastening element (24), the conducting element (26), the terminal lug (32) and the grounding element (30).

Herein a method of operating a water-circulating household appliance 2 is disclosed. The water-circulating household appliance 2 comprises an electric motor 4 and a washing liquid circuit 6, the washing liquid circuit comprising a pump 8 for circulating washing liquid through the washing liquid circuit. A portion of the washing liquid circuit is arranged in thermal communication with the electric motor. For heating the washing liquid, the method comprises a step of driving the electric motor, over a time period longer than 1 minute, with a higher electrical power input than required for circulating the washing liquid through the washing liquid circuit with the pump rotating in the primary direction of rotation. The microwave generating unit (20) and the light-emitting plasma device (22) are connected via a wave guide (26), so that microwaves generated by the microwave generating unit (20) are transferred to the substance providing light-emitting plasma.

The present invention relates to a method for washing laundry in a laundry washing machine capable of performing a more efficient foam level control. The method of the present invention for washing laundry in a laundry washing machine type of the type comprising: - a washing tub (3) external to a rotatable washing drum (4) adapted to receive laundry; - a water supply circuit (5) to supply water into said washing tub (3); - a washing product supplier (6) to supply a detergent into said washing tub (3), comprises the following phases: a) a main washing phase during which the washing drum (4) is rotated at a first rotation speed to exert a mechanical washing action on the laundry contained in the washing tub (3); b) an intermediated draining phase during which the washing drum (4) is rotated at a second rotation speed, higher than the first rotation speed, causing the extraction from the laundry of at least part of a solution of water and detergent therein contained, which is drained off the washing tub (3); c) a rinsing phase comprising the introduction of water into the washing tub (3) and the rotation of the washing drum (4) at a third rotation speed; d) a final draining phase during which the washing drum (4) is rotated at a fourth rotation speed, higher than the third rotation speed, causing the extraction from the laundry of at least part of the liquid therein contained, which is drained off the washing tub (3). it comprises, between said main washing phase b) and said intermediated draining phase c), a foam prevention phase b1) during which the formation of foam during the following intermediated draining phase c) is hindered, wherein said foam prevention phase b1) is performed even if foam is not present in said washing tub (3).
