For determining time and frequency resources to be used for performing transmissions in a wireless communications network, the transmissions being performed via time and frequency resources of the wireless communications network according to an initial grid representation, a first device performs: obtaining groups of time and frequency resources of the wireless communications network so as to form a redrawn grid; allocating time and frequency resources according to the redrawn grid and to a frequency hopping criteria; and providing signalling information representative of the time and frequency resources that have been allocated according to the redrawn grid. In order to determine which time and frequency resources of the initial grid to be used for performing said transmissions, a second device performs: obtaining the signalling information so as to determine the time and frequency resources that have been allocated according to the redrawn grid; and applying a predetermined pattern mask onto the determined time and frequency resources that have been allocated according to the redrawn grid.

A polar-code based encoder is used to perform a transfer of useful data to a polar-code based decoder via a Binary Discrete-input Memory-less Channel. The Divide and Conquer structure consists of a multiplexer having useful data bits and a set of frozen bits as inputs followed by a polarization block of size N = 2 L , wherein the polarization block of size N comprises a set of front kernels followed by a shuffler and two complementary polarization sub-blocks of size N / 2 with a similar structure as the polarization block of size N but with half its size. A dynamically configurable interleaver is present between the shuffler and one and/or the other of the complementary polarization sub-blocks at each recursion of the Divide and Conquer structure. The configuration of the dynamically configurable interleavers is dynamically modified according to changes detected in the Binary Discrete-input Memory-less Channel.

For determining whether a configuration of an optical transmission interface of a first device has to be adjusted for transmitting optical signals to a second device via an optical band-pass filter, the second device having an optical reception interface configured to enable receiving optical signals output by said optical band-pass filter and transmitted by the first device on a carrier wavelength when said carrier wavelength is comprised in the passband of the optical band-pass filter, said carrier wavelength and/or said passband of the optical band-pass filter being a priori unknown, a monitoring device performs: monitoring an evolution of a difference level between codewords received by the second device via said optical signals and corresponding codewords transmitted by the first device; and determining whether the configuration of the optical transmission interface of the first device has to be adjusted, on the basis of said monitoring.

The invention relates to a method for determining a presence of a locking signal in a signal received by an optical receiver device, the optical receiver device being intended to be used in an optical communications network, the locking signal being a signal exchanged by optical communication devices of the optical communications network in a phase preceding setting up communications between said optical communication devices. The presence of the locking signal is determined by obtaining the direct current component or the component at twice a frequency at which the locking signal is supposed to be modulated, and by obtaining the contribution of the communication signal, if any, on said component.

For transmitting data from a plurality of transmitters to a plurality of receivers via a MIMO channel, precoders to be respectively applied by said transmitters are determined in a distributed fashion. Said precoders jointly form an overall precoder. Said transmitters are interconnected by coordination links implying quantization operations. Each and every transmitter: determines (S302) an initial version of the overall precoder from its own view of the MIMO channel; transmits (S303) to the other transmitters quantized versions of the initial version, thus implying quantization errors; receives (S304) initial versions of the overall precoder obtained by the other transmitters; obtains (S305) statistical distributions of the quantization errors; optimizes (S306) matrices parameters of a multivariate combination function combining the quantized versions of the initial versions of the overall precoder, so as to obtain an adjusted own view of the overall precoder, wherein the matrices parameters are optimized with respect to an estimation of a figure of merit representative of performance of the transmissions; and transmits (S307) the data by using the adjusted own view of the overall precoder.

The present invention concerns a method for transmitting data to at least one receiver, data being decomposed in a first and a second streams. The method comprises the steps of: - identifying, from a first number of bits of the first stream, a cluster of constellation points among clusters of constellation points of an amplitude phase shift keying constellation, each cluster of constellation points being comprised in a respective circle sector of a first type, each circle sector of the first type being spaced from another circle sector of the first type by a circle sector of a second type, all circle sectors having the same central point, - identifying, from a second number of bits of the second stream, one constellation point out of the constellation points comprised in the identified cluster, - mapping the bits used for identifying to the identified constellation point of the identified cluster of constellation points, in order to form a symbol to be transmitted, - transmitting the symbol to the at least one receiver.

A method for managing an integrated satellite-terrestrial network, the integrated satellite-terrestrial network comprising a terrestrial network component, and a satellite network component transmitting at least one satellite beam, is proposed.
