There is described a packaging unit (1) for producing sealed packages containing a pourable food product from a tube (2) of packaging material advanced along a first axis (A); the packaging unit (1) comprises: at least two jaws (10, 11) arranged on opposite sides of the first axis (A) and movable between a closed position, in which they grip and seal said tube (2) of packaging material at one of a plurality of equally spaced cross sections, and an open position, in which they are detached from the tube (2); at least two forming members (15) supported by the respective jaws (10, 11) in a movable manner between a first operating position, in which, in relation to the position of the jaws (10, 11), they have the maximum distance from one another, and a second operating position, in which, in relation to the closed position of the jaws (10, 11), they mate with one another and cooperate with the tube (2); and actuator means (20) to produce movement of the forming members (15) between the first operating position and the second operating position; the actuator means (20) comprise at least one mover (21) connected to both forming members (15) in any position of the jaws (10, 11) and selectively activated to perform opposite strokes, along which the mover (21) itself produces the movement of each forming members (15) in opposite directions. |

A sheet packaging material (200) for producing a sealed package (100) of a pourable food product is disclosed. The packaging material (200) comprises at least one base layer (230) for imparting stiffness to the sheet packaging material (200), at least one lamination layer (234, 238, 242, 246) applied to and covering said base layer (230), and a partially laminated opening zone (204, 234). The opening zone (204, 234) comprises a laminated cutting area (220, 224) having at least three longitudinal portions (220) extending between the centre and the periphery of the opening zone (204, 234), and at least three removable portions (212) adjacent to the laminated cutting area (220, 224), each removable portion (212) being located between two longitudinal portions (220) and having a folding zone (216) adjacent to the periphery of the opening zone (204, 234). In use the removable portions (212) are partly detached from the packaging material (200) by penetration of the laminated cutting area (220, 224) prior to being folded at the folding zone (216) to form an opening in the packaging material (200) for pouring a food product from the package (100). A sealed package (100) formed by folding and sealing the sheet packaging material is also disclosed. |

The invention relates to an ice cream machine (1) having a filling zone (5) and an emptying zone (9). The ice cream machine (1) comprises a rotatable unit (10), a mould (20) for receiving ice cream, a stick providing arrangement (50), and a guiding structure arranged to prevent more than one stick (52) from entering the groove (26) of the mould (20) from the stick providing arrangement (50). The stick providing arrangement (50) is arranged such that a rotation of the rotatable unit (10) causes the groove (26) to match the position of the stick providing arrangement (50) and thereby allow a single stick (52) to enter the groove, wherein further rotation of the rotatable unit (10) causes one of the sidewalls of the groove (26) to bring the stick (52) along the rotational movement. |
