A control system is provided to receive a plurality of vehicle data from sensors in a vehicle communication network. The control system is disposed on a vehicle in a vehicle system and evaluates a plurality of components of the vehicle system with a predictive model associated with the sensor data. The control system may determine a vehicle status based on the predictive model and modify an operational plan or impose an operational restriction through a propulsion system of the vehicle.

A relay assembly is disclosed herein. The relay assembly can include a first relay with a first reset interface to reset an operating state of the first relay and a second relay with a second reset interface to reset an operating state of the second relay. The second relay can be positioned such that the second reset interface opposes the first reset interface of the first relay. The relay assembly can further include a mechanical armature positioned between the first reset interface and the second reset interface. The mechanical armature can be transitionable between a first position, wherein the mechanical armature is spaced apart from the first reset interface and the second reset interface in the first position, and a second position, wherein the mechanical armature engages the first reset interface and the second reset interface in the second position.

A method is disclosed that includes receiving information from an information source and determining whether the received information has information of a type to be encrypted before transmitting the received information to a second communication device. Based at least in part on the determination, the method may include either encrypting the information of the type to be encrypted, generating encrypted information, and transmitting the received information including the encrypted information from the first communication device to the second communication device; or transmitting the received information from the first communication device to the second communication device unencrypted.

A system is provided for connecting a first hose of a first vehicle and a second hose of a second vehicle. The system may include a frame, a lacing actuator, first and second guides coupled to the frame, a first grasper, and a second grasper. The first guide may collect the first hose based on movement of the frame. The second guide may collect the second hose based on movement of the frame. The first grasper may receive the first hose from the first guide and deliver the first hose to the lacing actuator. The second grasper may receive the second hose from the second guide and deliver the second hose to the lacing actuator. The lacing actuator may position a first coupler of the first hose in engagement with a second coupler of the second hose.

A mobile platform includes a frame, drive wheels, an energy storage device, and an energy interface device. The drive wheels that support the frame propel the mobile platform on rails along a path without contacting other vehicles that travel along the same path in the same direction, in the opposite direction, or while one of the mobile platform or the other vehicle is stationary. The energy storage device is supported by the frame. The energy interface device is configured to transfer energy to and/or from the energy storage device and an offboard energy device.

Provided herein is a workhead assembly (48) for a railway anchor applicator (10) that can have an anchor clipping mechanism (54) can be configured to operably couple to an anchor receiving mechanism (50). The anchor clipping mechanism can have an apply lever (62) configured to be coupled to an actuator (66). The apply lever may include a fulcrum (78) configured couple to a moveable frame (22) of the workhead. The anchor clipping mechanism may include an applicator arm (60) having an elongated body with a first end, a second end at a distal location, and a middle portion between the first end and the second end. The middle portion may be configured to pivotably couple to the apply lever and a guide pin is located on the second end. An apply cam (64) can be configured to couple to the moveable frame. The apply cam can have a slot configured to receive the guide pin.

A system and method that identify a location and/or magnitude of a ground fault in a circuit having a bus that connects battery strings with loads and a ground reference between the loads are provided. Potential of the bus is shifted relative to a ground reference in a first direction. A first impedance in the bus between the battery strings and the ground reference is determined, and the bus is shifted relative to the ground reference in a second direction. A second impedance in the bus between the battery strings and the ground reference is determined. A location and/or severity of a ground fault is determined based on a relationship between the first impedance and the second impedance.

A fluid control device includes a first conduit having a first end and a second end, and a first fluid that moves within the first conduit between the first end and the second end. The first conduit includes an interior surface defining a cavity of the first conduit. The fluid control device includes a second conduit having a third end and a fourth end, and a second fluid that moves within the second conduit between the third and fourth ends. At least a portion of the second conduit extends within the cavity of the first conduit. The first fluid is separate from the second fluid as the first fluid moves within the first conduit and the second fluid moves within the second conduit.

A system and method include measuring input electric current that is input into an electrically controlled valve to change a position of the valve. Output electric current that is output from the valve in response to the input electric current being input into the electrically controlled valve is measured. Position signals are generated using a sensor coupled with the electrically controlled valve that are indicative of the position of the valve. Baseline values associated with the input electric current, the output electric current, and the position signals are calculated. A health state of the valve is determined by comparing the baseline values associated with the input electric current, the output electric current, and the position signals with subsequently measured values associated with the input electric current, the output electric current, and the position signals.

A system is provided that may include a motor, a locking mechanism, an encoder, and a controller. The motor may rotate a shaft to move a door between an open position and a closed position. The locking mechanism may alternate between a locked and an unlocked position. The locking mechanism may retain the door in the closed position responsive to the locking mechanism being in the locked position and may allow the door to move to the open position responsive to the locking mechanism being in the unlocked position. The encoder may be coupled with the motor and may determine one or more of movement, a speed, or a direction the motor moves. The controller may receive output from the encoder indicative of the one or more of the movement, the speed, or the direction the motor moves to determine a position of the locking mechanism.
