[Problem] To provide a technique suitable for producing, with high productivity, a thermoelectric conversion element that utilizes an anomalous Nernst effect to obtain a high Nernst coefficient in a zero magnetic field. [Solution] A metallic powder which is a powder containing an intermetallic compound GdCo<5> as a main component, and has a cumulative 50% particle diameter D50 of 1 to 150 µm and a cumulative 90% particle diameter D90 of 250 µm or less in a volume-based particle size distribution as determined by a laser diffraction/scattering method. This metallic powder can be obtained, for example, by pulverizing an alloy ingot containing an intermetallic compound GdCo<5> as a main component.

The present disclosure relates to a method for analyzing a modification state of a constituent unit in a molecule in which a plurality of constituent units of one or more types are bonded together, the method including: acquiring series data of signal values that vary in accordance with a type and a modification state of each constituent unit, the series data being obtained by scanning the molecule for each of a plurality of analyte molecules; aligning each of the plurality of series data, acquired from the plurality of analyte molecules, with reference data, thereby aligning the plurality of series data with each other; and analyzing a modification state of at least a part of the plurality of analyte molecules, based on the aligned plurality of series data.

The present invention aims to provide a cathode electrode which prevents an increase in hydrogen selectivity even if the catalyst layer is immersed in an electrolyte solution and enables a catalytic reaction for producing olefin-based hydrocarbons such as ethylene and alcohols such as ethanol through the carbon dioxide reduction reaction to be stably sustained with high efficiency over a long period. A cathode electrode which electrically reduces carbon dioxide, the cathode electrode comprising: a first layer with a first thickness, located on a surface layer of the cathode electrode; and a second layer with a second thickness, adjacent to the first layer in a thickness direction, wherein: the first layer contains copper; the first layer is surface-modified with a cation exchange substance substituted with a metal ion; and the second layer is a mixed layer of copper and carbon.

An object of the present invention is to provide a hydrogel material capable of being gelated in situ in a short time using a general-purpose means such as spraying and having cell compatibility and tissue adhesiveness. The present disclosure provides a road surface shape estimation device and the like, which are capable of easily and accurately estimating a three-dimensional shape of a road surface. The road surface shape estimation device of the present disclosure includes an identification unit that compares a first birds-eye view obtained by converting a first image of a road surface, captured from a first position, into a birds-eye view with a second birds-eye view obtained by converting a second image of the road surface, captured from a second position different from the first position, into a birds-eye view and identifies, for each of a plurality of portions of the road surface, a first portion in the first birds-eye view corresponding to the portion and a second portion in the second birds-eye view corresponding to the portion and an estimation unit that calculates an amount of movement between the first portion and the second portion over the images and estimates an uneven shape of the road surface on the basis of the amount of movement.
