The invention relates to a method for estimating an effective length (L2) of a first vehicle segment (20) of a vehicle combination (100), the vehicle combination (100) comprising: - a towing vehicle (10) which is connected to the first vehicle segment (20) via a first articulation joint (A1); and - a perception sensor (12) mounted on one of the towing vehicle (10) and the first vehicle segment (20) and arranged to obtain an image of the other one of the towing vehicle and the first vehicle segment; the method comprising: - identifying (S1) that the vehicle combination (100) is provided in a first steady vehicle state, wherein a steady vehicle state is indicative of a condition where an articulation angle (α) of the first articulation joint (A1) has reached a stationary angular state corresponding to a specific steering angle of steerable ground engaging means (14) of the towing vehicle (10); - identifying (S2) that a turning and driving manoeuvre is initiated, wherein the turning and driving manoeuvre comprises changing the steering angle by a specific angular change (Δ) and driving the vehicle combination with a specific speed (v1) from the first steady vehicle state ; wherein the method further comprises: - identifying (S3) when the vehicle combination (100) reaches a second steady vehicle state by use of images obtained by the perception sensor (12); - determining (S4) a time period (t1) required for driving the vehicle combination (100) from the first steady vehicle state to the second steady vehicle state; and - estimating (S5) the effective length (L2) by use of the time period, a value indicative of the specific angular change (Δ) and a value indicative of the specific speed (v1). The invention further relates to a method for calibrating an articulation angle sensor, to control units, to a vehicle and to a computer program.

The disclosure relates to a method for estimating a relative angle (Θ) between an image obtaining device (10) and a vehicle (100), such as a trailer, wherein the relative angle (Θ) is defined by an angular difference between a first line (A) related to the image obtaining device (10) and a second longitudinal line (X) extending in a longitudinal extension of the vehicle (100), the method comprising:- obtaining an image of the vehicle (100) from of the image obtaining device (10), wherein the image depicts at least a first and a second vehicle portion (a_1, a_2) of the vehicle (100);- obtaining dimension information of the vehicle (100), wherein the dimension information comprises a first length (d1) of the first vehicle portion (a_1) and a second length (d2) of the second vehicle portion (a_2),- determining a first distance (L_1) to the first vehicle portion (a_1) with respect to the image obtaining device (10) and a second distance (L_2) to the second vehicle portion (a_2) with respect to the image obtaining device (10), wherein the first and second distances (L_1, L_2) are determined by use of the image, the first and second lengths (d1, d2) and a first trigonometric model;- by use of the first and second distances (L_1, L_2), the image and a second trigonometric model, estimating the relative angle (Θ) between the image obtaining device (10) and the vehicle (100). The disclosure also relates to a system (200), a second vehicle (120), a computer program, a computer readable medium and to a method for docking an uncoupled vehicle (100) to a second vehicle (120).

A system (1) for enabling transmittal of high voltage electric power from a towing vehicle (2) to a trailer vehicle (3), the towing vehicle (2) comprising: a source of high voltage electric power (4); a cable connector (5) configured to be connected to a first end connector (6a) of a cable (6) that comprises i) at least one power cord (21, 22, 23), ii) a protective earth conductor (25), and iii) one or more signal cables (26, 27) configured to transmit a signal or message that indicates that the cable (6) is connected; a cable interface unit (7) configured to receive and process the signal or message that indicates that the cable (6) is connected to the cable connector (5), wherein the cable interface unit (7) is configured to measure electric insulation between the at least one power cord (21, 22, 23) and the protective earth conductor (25) so as to allow for checking insulation capability of the cable (6) before applying high voltage to the cable (6).

The disclosure relates to a brake release system for a vehicle comprising a parking brake having a brake chamber. The brake release system comprises a regular air supply passage, and an auxiliary air supply passage configured to supply pressurized air to the brake chamber for releasing the parking brake in case of failure of the regular air supply passage. A valve device is provided in the auxiliary air supply passage, the valve device comprising an exhaust port. A pressure-responsive element is configured to actuate the valve device and configured to be in fluid communication with the regular air supply passage, such that when pressurized air is supplied through the regular air supply passage then the pressurized air activates the pressure-responsive element so as to actuate the valve device to move to a closed first state, and when no pressurized air is supplied through the regular air supply passage then the pressure-responsive element is deactivated to allow the valve device to move to an open second state.
