The present invention proposes an RF enabled lighting system unit, such as e.g. a sensor or a LED driver. The unit comprises an essentially RF antenna integrated in a wall or behind it of a casing of the unit, and a spacer element arranged on top of the RF antenna and made from an non RF signal attenuating material, wherein the spacer element is configured to prevent direct contact between the RF antenna and an external building element made from a RF signal attenuating element.

The present invention provides a luminaire comprising: a casing; a driver disposed within said casing, configured to provide electrical power to the luminaire; lighting means disposed within said casing, configured to emit light upon receiving power from the driver; and at least one RF antenna module with directed transceiving characteristic attached to or integrated with said casing. The antenna is configured to enable communication between the luminaire and an external building device or network.

The invention is related to a commissioning device (1) comprising a communication module (11) that is configured to wirelessly communicate with at least one building infrastructure device (2); and a determination module (12) that is configured to determine a distance between each building infrastructure device (2) and the commissioning device (1), wherein each distance is determined based on first information communicated by the corresponding building infrastructure device (2), and to determine a nearest building infrastructure device (2), which is the building infrastructure device (2) having the smallest distance of the determined distances; and a control module (13) that is configured to generate first control information for controlling the nearest building infrastructure device (2); and the communication module (11) is further configured to communicate the first control information to the nearest building infrastructure device (2). Moreover the invention is related to a building infrastructure device (2) comprising a communication module (21) that is configured to wirelessly communicate with a commissioning device (1), and to communicate first information to the commissioning device (1) for enabling the commissioning device (1) to determine a distance between the building infrastructure device (2) and the commissioning device (1), and a control module (22) that is configured to control the building infrastructure device (2) based on first control information communicated by the commissioning device (1). The invention is also related to a method and a system thereof.

A lighting system for emitting sound comprises a rail for mechanically supporting lighting system components and for supplying electrical power to the lighting system components. The system comprises at least one electromechanical transducer configured to generate vibrations of the coupling element in accordance with a sound signal supplied to the transducer. The transducer is mounted on or in the rail with the coupling element in mechanical contact with the rail or a system component for stimulating the rail or system component with the vibration generated by the transducer.

The present invention provides a device for a lighting system. The device is configured to obtain information on two or more pulse-based radio communication (PBRC) signals that have a common source and have different run-times to each other, and determine a state and/or a change of a state of an environment of the lighting system by using the information on the two or more PBRC signals.

The present invention provides a lighting control system. Said lighting control system (10) comprises: a camera-based sensor (11), including a processing unit within its casing, wherein the processing unit is configured to process image data captured by the sensor (11) and extract non-graphic feature information (12), wherein the extract feature information (12) indicates at least one characteristic related to the presence, nature, and/or movement of human persons detected by the sensor (11). Said system (10) further comprises an API (13) configured to receive the extracted feature information (12) from the sensor (11) and provide control information (14) to a lighting control unit (15) responsible for one or more luminaires (16), and the lighting control unit (15) configured to control the operation of one or more luminaires (16) based on the control information (14) provided by the API (13).

The invention relates to a luminaire (1) for illuminating a room (R) and for controlling room acoustics in said room (R). The luminaire (1) comprises: a housing (2) with a cavity (3), a light source (4) arranged in the cavity (3), a rigid transparent cover (5) arranged such that at least part of the light emitted by the light source (4) can be emitted via the cover (5) into the room (R) to be illuminated, a support (6) arranged to support the cover (5), a fastener (7) arranged to fix the cover (5) to the support (6), and a flexible section (8) arranged between the support (6) and the cover (5) and/or between the cover (5) and at least part of the fastener (7) such that the flexible section (8) and the cover (5) are pressed together when the cover (5) is fixed, by the fastener (7), to the support (6). The fastener (7) is arranged to be selectively adjustable between a first position in which the flexible section (8) and the cover (5) are pressed together such that the cover (5) is in a first fixed state in which the cover (5) has a first resonance frequency, and a second position in which the flexible section (8) and the cover (5) are pressed together such that the cover (5) is in a second fixed state in which the cover (5) has a second resonance frequency different from the first resonance frequency. Each of the first and second resonance frequencies is in a range of 300Hz or less.
