Thum & Partner unterhält zwei ungewöhnlich gewählte Standorte: einen in München-Bogenhausen nahe dem Friedensengel und einen zweiten in der Konstanzer Altstadt, in der ehemaligen Domfabrik. Rechtlich firmiert die Kanzlei als Thum, Mötsch, Weickert Patentanwälte PartG mbB, mit klarem Schwerpunkt auf Einspruchs-, Nichtigkeits- und Verletzungsverfahren sowie zunehmend Verfahren vor dem neuen Einheitlichen Patentgericht (UPC). Für ihr Engagement im Verfahren Edwards gegen Meril wurde sie bei den Managing IP EMEA Awards 2026 als „UPC Impact Case of the Year“ ausgezeichnet, Partner Bernhard Thum war zugleich für „Patent Practitioner of the Year“ nominiert.
