A radial lever connector is disclosed that includes a plurality of lever connectors centered around a central bus bridge conductor. Each of the lever connectors includes a corresponding wire channel for inserting a wire conductor, where the wire channels lead towards the central bus bridge conductor, so that all wire conductors that are inserted into their respective wire channel may be electrically coupled to each other via connection with the central bus bridge conductor.

An optical cable comprising a plurality of multi-fiber connectors or adapters wherein the connectors or adapters are configured to connect to network equipment in a data communications network and wherein the optical cable is configured to map near end to far end multi-fiber ports following specific network topologies whereby fiber groups are rearranged in a transition zone of the optical cable such that each of all fibers within one subjacketed group at the near end is routed to multiple independent subjacketed groups at the far end, such that a light path of connected transmitters and receivers are matched to provide optical connections from transmitting fibers to receiving fibers.

Each port of the plurality of server node ports is grouped and assigned to a color depending on a node order or location on the rack such that the trail observed at a patch panel for the plurality of leaf switch ports follows a uniform vertical color pattern. The vertical pattern matching a desired logical network topology with the vertical pattern being easy to observe so a risk of misplacing during the installation is be reduced.

Embodiments provide for a tunable driving circuit by monitoring a frequency of a ring oscillator of an electrical integrated circuit connected to an optical modulator to determine operational characteristics of the electrical integrated circuit; setting, based on the operational characteristics, a driving voltage for a plurality of tunable inverters and a plurality of fixed gain inverters that control the optical modulator, wherein each tunable inverter of the plurality of tunable inverters is connected in parallel with a corresponding fixed gain inverter of the plurality of fixed gain inverters on one of a first arm and a second arm connected to the optical modulator; and setting an amplification strength for the plurality of tunable inverters based on the operational characteristics.

In accordance with the following description, an optical communication connector includes a ferrule having retractable alignment pins that are actuable between an extended position and a retracted position. For example, the connector may include an inner housing assembly having optical fibers and an outer housing positioned over the inner housing assembly. The outer housing is shaped to be removable from the inner housing assembly, which has a movable pin clamp mechanically coupled to alignment pins for aligning the connector with another connector. The pin clamp may be slid from a first position (corresponding to a male gender) to a second position (corresponding to a female gender). Separately or in combination with changing gender, the polarity of a communication connector may be changed due to its inclusion of an asymmetric polarity-changing feature that is actuable by an installer to change a polarity of the communication connector. Such a feature may actuated by being moved from a first position to a second position relative to the communication connector.
