A pull-down device for a knitted fabric that has a simpler configuration than the conventional device and that can be easily installed with respect to the flat knitting machine is provided. A pull-down device 100 for a knitted fabric includes a pair of base sections 1, a guiding plate 2 arranged at a position facing a knitted fabric passing path 101 on an upper side of each base section 1, and a catching/pull-down mechanism 3 for catching the knitted fabric drooped to a position facing the guiding plate 2 and pulling down the knitted fabric toward a lower side. In the pull-down device 100 for the knitted fabric, the base section 1 is fixed to the flat knitting machine. The pull-down device 100 of the knitted fabric includes an opening/closing mechanism 4 for displacing at least a part of each guiding plate 2 between a closed position which is proximate to the knitted fabric passing path 101 and an open position which is further separated from the knitted fabric passing path 101 than the closed position. |

[Problem to be solved] It is an object of the present invention is to provide a set up equipment for a flatbed knitting machine in which an elevating guide only in an elevating mechanism is enough even when a plurality of set up plates are included. [Solution] A holder 6 accommodates a plurality of set up plates 3, 4, and 5 at an interval in a front-back direction and is capable of being moved in the front-back direction. Elevating mechanisms 7 are provided with elevating guides 10 and have elevators 11 moving the connected set up plate 4 in an elevation manner by guiding with the elevating guides 10. Selecting mechanisms 8 move the holder 6 frontward and backward, select the one set up plate 4, and adjust the set up plate 4 to a position at which substrates 4a are capable of being connected to the elevators 11 of the elevating mechanisms 7. Connecting mechanisms 9 are capable of switching connection or disconnection between the substrates 4a of the selected set up plate 4 and the elevators 11 in a state where the elevators 11 of the elevating mechanisms 7 are lowered and it is therefore sufficient that the elevating guides 10 are provided only in the elevating mechanisms 7. |

There is provided a flat knitting machine in which the knitting yarn is less likely to be nipped between a fixed sinker and a movable sinker. The flat knitting machine includes a fixed sinker 4 and a movable sinker 5. Assuming a direction from an inoperative position, where the movable sinker does not make contact with a sinker loop, to an operative position, where the movable sinker makes contact with the sinker loop, in a swinging direction of the movable sinker 5 is an operating direction, the movable sinker 5 includes a projecting portion 5C at a position closer to a swinging center than a knitting yarn receiving portion 5B when seen from the swinging center of the movable sinker 5. The projecting portion 5C is projected out more toward the operating direction than the knitting yarn receiving portion 5B. When a virtual line connecting a holding point of the knitting yarn 8 in the hook 3F when the knitting yarn 8 is pulled in with the hook 3F of the knitting needle 3 and a holding point of the knitting yarn 8 in the fixed sinker 4 is defined, the projecting portion 5C when the movable sinker 5 is arranged at the inoperative position is arranged on an upper side of the needle bed 2 than the virtual line. |
