Zusammenfassung
A method for the assessment of the irradiation embrittlement in a nuclear reactor pressure vessel RPV (10) comprises the steps (a): cutting a specimen (20, 40) from an un-irradiated RPV (10); (b): measuring grain size D<sub>g</sub> of each grain (30) on a region (21, 41) of the specimen (20, 40); (c): performing several indentation tests at a temperature on this region; (d) to (g): for each test, calculating for each grain (30) the slip band number density N/D<sub>g</sub> from equations; (h): repeating steps (c) to (g) at different temperatures to obtain an un-irradiated curve around the ductile-brittle transition temperature DBTT; (i): submitting specimen (40) to an irradiation dose and repeating steps (b) to (g) at different temperatures to obtain an irradiated curve around the DBTT; (j) and (k): assessing the irradiation embrittlement in the RPV from the ductile-brittle transition shift between the un-irradiated and irradiated curves. |
