A system and method are provided for processing an industrial effluent and cultivating microalgae. The system comprises a primary tank, a screening unit with a motor-driven cleaning mechanism, a flocculation tank supplied with a chemical flocculant, a sand filter, an acidification unit with pH control, a solid-liquid separation unit, an anaerobic digestion unit, and a microalga cultivation unit. The effluent is screened, flocculated, filtered, acidified to a pH from 4.2 to 5.2, preferably 4.45 to 4.75, and subjected to solid-liquid separation to remove precipitated proteins and destabilised colloidal material, thereby producing a clarified effluent. The clarified effluent is anaerobically digested at a defined organic loading rate to generate biogas and a liquid digestate. At least a portion of the digestate and/or carbon dioxide derived from the biogas is used for microalga cultivation. The system enables stable anaerobic digestion without membrane-based pretreatment and provides a conditioned stream suitable for downstream microalga growth.

The present disclosure relates to a biodegradable geotextile structure for soil rehabilitation comprising a woven fabric structure of filament yarns of a natural fiber; at least a polymer selected from polylactic acid (PLA) and polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) polymers, or mixtures thereof; and particles of activated carbon. Furthermore, the present disclosure relates to a method for producing said biodegradable geotextile structure.

The present disclosure relates to a construction material, a method for manufacturing the construction material reusing effluents and wastewater from the textile industry and uses thereof. It is disclosed a construction material, comprising: a controlled textile effluent and/or wastewater; at least one calcium-based hydraulic binder; at least one aggregate; and wherein the controlled textile effluent complies with the following parameters: pH from 5.5 to 9.5, chemical oxygen demand lower or equal to 1,500 mg O<2>/L, biochemical oxygen demand lower or equal 1,000 mg O<2>/L, suspended solids lower or equal 1,000 mg/L, and heavy metal concentrations not exceeding 1.0 mg/L Pb, 2.0 mg/L Cr, 0.1 mg/L Cr(VI), 5.0 mg/L Zn and 2.0 mg/L Ni, and wherein the textile effluent partially or totally replaces mixing water and is chemically and physically immobilised within the hardened construction material.

The present disclosure relates to a biodegradable geotextile structure for soil biostimulation comprising a woven fabric structure of hydrophilic filament yarns of a cellulose fiber selected from the list consisting of: alpha cellulose, beta cellulose, gamma cellulose or mixtures thereof; at least a plant-based biopesticide selected from the list consisting of: Nicotine, Rotenone, Pyrethrins I, Pyrethrins II, Eugenol, Citronella oil, and mixtures thereof; at least a microalgae selected from the list consisting of: Chlorella spp., Scenedesmus spp, Dunaliella spp, Spirulina spp., and mixtures thereof. Furthermore, the present disclosure relates to a method to obtain said biodegradable geotextile structure.

A wall cladding system is disclosed in which cladding planks are reversibly mounted on Ω-shaped support rails by slot-fit hooks providing gravitational retention. Each hook includes anti-rotation and locking features cooperating with the support rail to prevent involuntary disengagement under wind and vibration. The system allows controlled thermal expansion through elongated compensation openings and enables selective removal of individual planks through a defined sequence of sliding, rotation and withdrawal movements, preventing involuntary disengagement under wind and vibration. The said construction material and the associated effluent treatment method enable the valorisation of water and industrial effluents, reduce the consumption of natural resources, convert liquid industrial waste into a chemically stabilised and immobilised form, reduces the consumption of natural recourses, and minimizes the ecological footprint of the construction sector.

The present disclosure provides a flow accelerator device comprising an inverted aerofoil-shaped cross-section formed by one or more panels, defining a leading edge, trailing edge, upper surface, and lower surface, where the lower surface extends further than the upper surface. Mechanically connected to a base fixed upstream of a duct, the device generates low pressure within the duct to enhance air extraction. A building article comprising: a conventional building article comprising an inner layer of conventional formulation; and at least one pigmented protective layer applied to at least one external surface of the conventional building article, wherein the at least one pigmented protective layer comprises a mixture of pigmented water, at least one binder and at least one aggregate; wherein the at least one pigmented protective layer comprises a minimum thickness of 3 mm; wherein the at least one aggregate comprises a maximum particle size of 70% to 90% of the thickness of the at least one pigmented protective layer; and wherein the at least one pigmented protective layer is mass-pigmented throughout its thickness, such that colour is homogeneously distributed within the pigmented protective layer; wherein the pigmented protective layer is configured to allow localised surface removal of up to 0.3 mm without loss of the original aesthetic appearance.
