An apparatus comprising:an ion trap, for example a 2 dimensional, 2D, ion trap such as a linear quadrupole ion trap, LIT, wherein the ion trap comprises a set of electrodes, for example wherein the 2D ion trap comprises two or more pairs of rod electrodes and optionally two end electrodes;a power supply configured to: generate a substantially rectangular radio frequency, RF, voltage waveform, wherein the RF voltage waveform includes a first set of states including a first state having a first voltage level and a second state having a second voltage level, wherein the first state and the second state are mutually opposed; and apply the generated RF voltage waveform to the set of electrodes, wherein the first set of states provides a trapping field in the ion trap for trapping ions in a trapping region thereof;an electron source, configured to inject electrons into the ion trap for reactions thereof with the ions, for example electron capture dissociation, ECD, hot ECD, electron induced dissociation, EID, and/or electron detachment dissociation, EDD;wherein the RF voltage waveform includes a second set of states including a first state having a first voltage level, wherein the first voltage level of the second set of states is between the first voltage level and the second voltage level of the first set of states; andwherein the electron source is configured to inject the electrons into the ion trap during the second set of states, for example only during the second set of states.

A method and an apparatus for constructing a digital power system based on a multifunctional intelligent agent are provided according to the present disclosure. Feature production factor data is extracted from power data of a power plant side, and control production factor data is extracted from the power data of a power grid side. A target data vector is constructed based on an electrical function requirement, and key control production factor data associated with the electrical function requirement is determined. A mapping function representing mapping between the target data vector and the key control production factor data is acquired by using an artificial intelligence algorithm, a functional operator with the mapping function as a kernel is constructed, and an intelligent agent is constructed based on the functional operator. The digital power system is configured with respective intelligent agents corresponding to different electrical function requirements, and each of the intelligent agents serves as an electrical function executing unit. This system enables data-driven, diversified and digital electric functions, and associations among data can be accurately captured to form high-value data assets in a power system.

A drill head (1) and corresponding method for drilling a borehole (2) into a sub-surface formation (3) comprises at least one drill housing (4) configured to be arranged sub-surface, and at least one gyrotron (5, 5a, ...). The gyrotron (5, 5a, ...) comprises an electron gun (6) configured to produce an electron beam, at least one magnet (7) configured to produce a magnetic field, and a cavity (8) configured to receive the electron beam and to generate microwaves by a resonance coupling between the electron beam and the magnetic field produced by the magnet (7). The microwaves are injectable into the sub-surface formation (3) for drilling the borehole (2). The gyrotron (5, 5a, ...) is at least partially arranged in the drill housing (4) such, that the microwaves are generated sub-surface.

An apparatus (100, 300, 700) is described, comprising: a linear ion trap (102) comprising two pairs of pole electrodes and a radiofrequency, RF, electrical potential supply (117) configured to apply respective RF waveforms to the pairs of pole electrodes, thereby forming a RF trapping field component to trap analyte ions (116) radially in a trapping region (115) of the linear ion trap for processing of the analyte ions (116) therein; a charged particle source (101) comprising a pulse valve (103), a conduit (106, 107), having an entrance in fluid communication therewith and an exit, wherein the conduit (106, 107) extends in the direction of the trapping region (115), and a discharge device (108) electrically coupled to an electrical potential supply (109) and disposed between the entrance and the exit of the conduit (106, 107), wherein the pulse valve (103) is configured to release a gas pulse from a gas supply into the entrance of the conduit (106, 107) and wherein the electrical potential supply (109) is configured to apply a high voltage to the discharge device (108) to generate a discharge (110) in the gas pulse in the conduit (106, 107), thereby generating charged particles (114) from the gas and accelerating the generated charged particles in the direction of the trapping region (115). Eine Anordnung (1) zur schubfesten Verbindung eines ersten Bauteils (2) mit einem zweiten Bauteil (3) umfasst eine erste Verbindungsvorrichtung (4), welche im ersten Bauteil vormontierbar ist, und eine zweite Verbindungsvorrichtung (5), welche im zweiten Bauteil vormontierbar ist. Die erste Verbindungsvorrichtung (4) umfasst ein erstes Verbindungselement (10). Die zweite Verbindungsvorrichtung (5) umfasst oder besteht aus einem zweiten Verbindungselement (11). Das erste Verbindungselement (10) und das zweite Verbindungselement (11) sind lösbar mechanisch miteinander verbindbar.
