A pneumatic system comprises a compressor and an air dryer for supplying a first set of consumers in a main circuit having multi-circuit protection valve system and at least one further consumer is a subsidiary circuit. A selection valve is used to control the coupling of the output of the air dryer to either the main circuit or the subsidiary circuit. The supply is provided to the subsidiary circuit only when a fluid pressure associated in the main circuit exceeds a threshold.

A pneumatic system comprises a first compressor and associated first air dryer for supplying dried air to a first set of consumers in a main circuit and a second compressor and associated second air dryer for supplying dried air to at least one further consumer through a subsidiary circuit. A protection valve system is provided in the main circuit between the first air dryer and the first set of consumers. A fluid flow path is provided between the main and subsidiary circuits which is selectively openable or closable by a coupling valve to enable the subsidiary circuit to be supplied with pressurized air from the main circuit or to isolate the main and subsidiary circuits.

A solid material application system (104) includes a solid material tank (112), a plurality of metering screws (214) below the solid material tank and a blower (202) in fluid communication with a plurality of flow lines (114). Each metering screw is contained in a housing (208) having a solid inlet (210a-c) connected to the solid material tank and a solid outlet (212a-c) axially offset from the solid inlet. Each flow line is connected to the solid outlet of one of the housings of one of the metering screws. Each metering screw is configured to rotate such that solid material falling through the solid inlet from the tank into the housing is transferred axially along the metering screw to the solid outlet. A mechanism for determining one or more dispersal properties of residue material. Image data of dispersed residue material is projected to produce an image projection of a target area including the dispersed residue material. An agricultural system comprises an agricultural machine (102) and a drone (104). A drone landing platform (106) is mounted to the agricultural machine (102). A dynamically controllable geofence (114) is generated which defines prohibited drone positions. The geofence shape is adapted for landing of the drone (104) to provide permitted drone positions during landing on the drone landing platform (106).

Systems and methods are provided for monitoring the distribution of residue material from a spreader tool of an agricultural machine. A sensor, preferably a LIDAR or other scanning transceiver-type sensor is used and is mounted or otherwise coupled to the machine and orientated with a sensing region pointing rearwards of the agricultural machine. Operational data indicative of an operational parameter of the spreader tool is obtained and used to control operation of the sensor.
