The present disclosure relates to synchronizing an internal time of an automotive control unit in a vehicle with one or more further times of one or more further entities. One or more internal motion parameter indicators are compared to one or more further motion parameters. Each internal motion parameter indicator is associated with an internal time stamp based on the internal time of the automotive control unit while each further motion parameter is associated with a further time stamp based on the further time of the corresponding further entity. Then, one or more time offsets between the internal time stamp and the one or more further time stamps are determined based on the comparison. Finally, the internal time is synchronized with the one or more further times based on the one or more time offsets. |

A method for lane change classification of a vehicle comprises the following steps carried out by computer hardware components: acquiring sensor data representing a movement of a vehicle on a traffic lane over a predetermined time period; determining, on the basis of the sensor data, a lateral velocity of the vehicle and a lateral distance of the vehicle relative to a boundary of the traffic lane; assigning the movement of the vehicle to a lane changing class or a lane keeping class on the basis of a classification function, the lane changing class being associated with the vehicle departing from the lane, the lane keeping class being associated with the vehicle staying on the lane, wherein the classification function is defined in a lateral velocity dimension of the vehicle and a lateral distance dimension of the vehicle, and the classification function representing a boundary between the lane changing class and the lane keeping class. |

The method comprises obtaining a movement profile indicative of a trajectory of a user relative to the vehicle and estimating, by a trained machine-learning model and based on the movement profile, whether the flap is to be opened. If it is estimated by the trained machine-learning model that the flap is to be opened, it is determined whether the embedding comprises an outlier. The present disclosure relates to enabling active learning for object classification by an automotive vision system configured to perform visual perception tasks, based on which a vehicle is configured to perform at least one driving automation system feature. The automotive vision system determines one or more 3D bounding boxes and a corresponding object class within three-dimensional sets of automotive sensor data, which including at least one automotive camera frame, i.e. two-dimensional data, while a secondary vision system determines one or more 2D bounding box vectors for each automotive camera frame. Based at least on the one or more 2D bounding box vectors, a frame score is calculated for each automotive camera frame. Then, one or more automotive camera frames are provided to an oracle based on the corresponding frame scores. The oracle returns annotated camera frames, which may then be used to retrain the automotive vision system. |
